Breaking - Kareem Hunt RELEASED and unclaimed (1 Viewer)

And using the other side of other people's reasoning here, it's ok for women to hit a man...the guy should just take it and walk away.

We all agree that the degree of violence used is the reason for punishment and it's justified to punish him....no one here argued this piece but you guys are making look like it's also ok for a woman to hit a guy...come on....let's get real here.
It's not OK but it's a completely different situation. Any guy that would hit a defenseless women like that is either a pu z, a psycho, or a completely insecure moron. Is it right for a 10 year old girl to hit you for no reason? No ... Would you give that 10 year old girl your best right cross off she did ??

I'll be perfectly honest with you ... The Hunt video looked more like a complete drunkfest than a fight  I saw Hunt  drunkenly shove and sloppily kick (more of a shove than a kick) ) a drunken women. I didn't see any effort to cause injury.

look at the Mixon video ... his intent was to knock her out

Yes. Anyone who watches that video and thinks maybe the girl deserved it, IS morally bankrupt. Inarguably.
People make mistakes and sometimes they are huge mistakes.  This is about what Hunt did and nothing else.  There are no excuses.  Having said that, everyone deserves a 2nd chance for this type of misconduct and most have received it and so should Hunt.

I have been hit by a woman and didn’t hit her back, as a matter of fact my best friend hit me once and I didn’t clock him either. Neither one hurt me so why result to violence if you know you can destroy the other person?

Kareem hunt had opportunities to return to the room.  He also had opportunities to stay away from the girl so she was not able to physically reach him.  He also had opportunities to let the smaller, weaker, not intimidating women have her say and leave.

Instead Kareem hunt chose to stay and eaclalte the conflict, he chose to push his way toward the girl instead of staying away from her and he chose to kick the girl after her head hit the wall and she was on the ground, woozy

Kareem hint isc100% responsible for hos actions and the choices he made that ended with him kickingvthd girl.
Exactly. He's trash.

I think it's spelled "Hoe's"

😁

In February 1999, Biletnikoff's daughter, Tracey, was found strangled to death at age 20 in Redwood City, California.[34] Tracey's boyfriend, Mohammed Haroon Ali, was convicted of first-degree murder in 2012 after admitting he strangled her with a T-shirt at a drug and alcohol treatment center during an argument over whether he had relapsed.[35] He was sentenced to 55 years to life imprisonment. Biletnikoff called Ali an "animal" after the sentencing, and said his hatred for him would never go away.[36] In 2015, Biletnikoff founded Tracey's Place of Hope in Loomis, California, a shelter for domestic violence victims and substance abuse treatment for females ages 14 to 18.[37][38]
I was talking about Hunt and the girl involved in the situation he just got released because of.

But Ray Rice didn't get a 2nd chance...

Hunt repeatedly abused that girl.  He went back again and again to attack her.  I don't think that is 2nd chance worthy.

I don't get the way several people are saying Rice was "old" or on the back 9, etc.  He was a great RB and was only 27 or something when that happened. Put that into today's context.  Would we say David johnson, LeVeon Bell, Melvin gordon, etc were old and done if they did this next season, knowing what they have done recently?
He was Jeremy Hill by that point.

Some RBs drop off faster than others.  Usually if they are overused early.

Didn't Ray Rice knock her out unconscious?  I don't think Hunt's video looked nearly as bad as that.  Not to mention there are plenty of DV abusers getting 2nd chances in the NFL, so why not Hunt?  Hell, he'a already been more contrite than most DV abuses playing in the NFL.

Ray Lewis killed a guy and was embraced by the NFL. Hunt will get another chance, but it's going to take a while and cost a lot.

It's up to him if he wants it bad enough

Last June at a resort Hunt and another guy got into a heated argument and Hunt threw a punch.  No charges pressed on either side, and the other guy wanted no part of anything afterwards.
so that's the one? not another one involved a woman ?

if this had been a dude, would that have changed anyones view? (women want treated equally, right?)

Wonder if the Chiefs would have been upstanding and released Mahomes under same circumstances?

Ray Lewis didn’t kill anyone. In fact, the people who did were ruled to have done so in self defense. Stay woke.

Rice didn't repeatedly attack his victim the way Hunt did.  Hunt could have cooled off, walked away, apologized.  Maybe, I don't know, HELP HER.  He didn't.  He continued to attack her.

He is sorry there is video. He is sorry he is out of a good job.  He's not sorry he beat a 19 year old girl up.  Looks like he's beat other girls before the way he was so comfortable beating on her.  Like...no big deal, just kick her too!

Is this conjecture on your part or is these evidence supporting this claim?

The kid has an anger management issue.  I hope he gets some help.  His first reaction appears to be a physical one, that shouldn't be anyone's first step.

It's almost as though he's spent most of his life playing a game "on the edge" where you smash into other people as hard as you possibly can...

It's easy to whip that one out, but the majority of NFL players aren't out there clocking random people when they are acting like jackholes.

According to the police report what happened in the video occurred after several other nonviolent attempts to get these girls to leave. I believe his first reaction was to tell his friend to tell the girls to leave

Think anyone claims him today... or is he black-balled for life (aka couple months)?
Yes. I think without a doubt he is claimed. He was released for lying about what happened, not for what happened. Other athletes were drafted and signed after worse events

   I hope I'm wrong then, but couple that with the incident with the guy from this summer and it appears to be showing that he is too easily put on tilt.

Yes, I don't know him personally, so he could very well have anger issues. Or an inflated ego. It's a sobering reminder to all professional athletes that, especially with today's technology, someone's always watching. And if you can't control yourself you won't be in this business for long

Wouldn't this be something- if Cleveland claims him. Chubb owners' heads might explode. But it could potentially be super smart for Cleveland.

No claims. He is in huge trouble of never sniffing an NFL field again.
I don't believe this for a second.

I'm thinking 60/40 he's picked up today... 100% on a roster this off season. Back to normal by 1 minute after any suspension.

Man, Brandon Marshall was arrested 3 or 4 times for assaulting women and he's beloved. Many others as well.
