Bridgewater suffers potentially serious knee injury (1 Viewer)

What I don't get on this is that I thought it was almost always the case that there is too much swelling right away to get an accurate MRI.
I guess if it was bad enough, maybe they were doing it ASAP to see if there was nerve or vascular damage that necessitated surgery immediately.  (Pure speculation)

Treadwell wasnt going to be much with Teddy, now with Hill or whatever other mess they get?
This is why he is not the 2nd WR off my board in any dyno draft. Teddy will be hard pressed to be back in time for next year.

not a fantasy relevant QB in most leagues.....  but seems like a good young man, that sucks for him, really bad and Vikings as well

why didn't it happen to Kap instead?

Rather mean-spirited to wish a possible season ending injury on anyone.

just wishing it was redirected to a guy who seems to better deserve it ...

Bridgewater is like Russell Wilson - just fine young men doing it the right way. Sucks for him and Vikings ... maybe QB Hill can hold down the fort

if the damage was traumatic enough they could be worried about damage to his femoral artery

all that stuff exploding in there severing that artery and all of the other injuries become instantly minor in comparison

((had a friend lunge into first base and his leg went all sorts of wrong ways and the docs at the hospital were diagnosing all of the ligaments and tendons and bones meanwhile 3 days later they had to remove the leg because they didn't catch the arterial damage))

So since this fantasy football and we are in a wait mode for results let's discuss Shaun Hill's value.  In my zealot leagues this is the last night to start auctions and Hill is popping up.  These are deep rosters so adding a starting NFL QB only happens when injuries pop up.  How much of your free agency money would you spend to add a QB like this? 5%, 10% 2%, what? I started him in one league where I have Cam and Brady and no other starting QB hoping for a backup until Brady is back.  He jumped to $33 for a team that has about $150 in the bank.

Come week 4 the Pats will have a QB available for trade. Greased lightning.

Wild, wild speculation... Stupid thought.....with the bridgewater injury and the fact that McKinnon has looked good and the team likes him a lot...is there any chance that the Vikes look to trade AP for a ransom?

Who would pay his perceived value or even above perceived value for a 31 year old RB who beats children and has a gorillion miles on his tires? I mean, the closest thing to Peterson (in situation) imo is Forte and Forte imo has a better outlook, he got a #### deal, 3yr/$12m.

Whoa

Been a while, but I don't remember Hill being awful
I watched all three of the preseason games so far.  Hill looks bad. He hasn't aged well since the days of Detroit, the arm is weak and his decisions haven't caught up with this arm.

He might be enough.  He might have to be for the early part of the season.

Probably all been mentioned but what about McCown, Colin Americahater, Foles, Sanchez?  Call Favre and ask him to return?

Man, this just flat out sucks for Minnesota fans. You wait the whole offseason for football. You have, from all accounts, a beautiful new stadium that you have been waiting years to have. You have a team that arguably is primed and ready to go on a roll and make some noise.

I really, really feel for you guys. This is just a big bummer. I hope your boys rally around this and pull off a really good season. It can happen.

???  Not sure what you were watching but I watched all three Vikings games too and he didn't look bad, especially in the Seattle game.

EJ Manuel isn't a good player, but the most the Bills would get for him would be a 6th round pick IMO. I think he's still more valuable as a backup QB to Buffalo than a 6th round pick would be.
Also EJ is in his last year of his rookie contract  and I can't see Bills moving him, leaving them with a very green rookie in Cardale Jones as their #2 QB.

Seems that the Vikings might look at T J Yates who was cleared from his ACL injury and other stiffs like Mettenberger, Aaron Murray.  I'd love to get AJ McCarron who someone else mentioned earlier but like my example with the Bills, I can't see Cincy giving him up (probably a 2nd/3rd?) at this point of the season/year, leaving the Bengals with who Wenning as their back-up?  Yeah exactly, Wenning???

This is absolutely the right take. Think P Manning arm strength without the P Manning anticipation.

I'm in a 14 team auction league and shot my wad on some RBs and WRs. He was my starter.

Wow - very sad. Sorry Vike fans. Everything was lining up for a big season. Hope this is not a significant injury and a BU can step in and carry the passing game. Was looking forward to Teddy's potential. Bummer!

Terrible break for Bridgewater.

At this point, I'd look for them to get someone with some recent experience with Norv. Perhaps someone like Brandon Weeden and is likely available (appears to be #3 QB in Houston). I don't think the likes of Sanchez/Kaepernick will provide more with little time in offense. I wouldn't touch Kaepernick period and think he's taken his final NFL regular season snap.

In other words, this injury didn't change a thing in how you'd draft Treadwell. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Still don't understand what type of injury he suffered. "Non-contact" usually makes me think ACL, but this sounds more visibly gruesome. I realize Victor Cruz and Kevin Ware each suffered different injuries both of which were awful and both were non-contact. But given Teddy's position, I have a hard time picturing what he could have been doing when this happened (i.e., as a QB, he wouldn't be jumping high into the air and landing awkwardly, for example).
