Internet rumors have floated that the Broncos are shopping receiver Ashley Lelie, who is in the final season of his contract. Those rumors are false, Shanahan said. "Of course they are not true, of course," Mike Shanahan said. "This is the time of year all kinds of crazy things are said."

Since Shanahan finally drafted a WR who can actually play in the NFL (albeit not as a stud, but at least he can catch occassionally) after years of trying, I'd find it hard to believe he'd send Lelie packing. After Smith & Lelie, the cupboard is bare at WR.

Shanahan's inability to evaluate receivers goes back to his early days as an assistant. Rumor has it he thought Roberto Duran would be a good receiver.

The only place to shop Lelie is the MArshalls, he should be discounted for looking good, but not being able to sell.

Lelie was my personal biggest bust pick on ALL my teams in 05' he's a soft player.
