Bucs-Raiders thread (1 Viewer)

well I guess it is time for Gannon to claim his spot on the bench..
I was just going to ask that....Let's assume that Gannon is questionable for next week and nothing serious is wrong with him. Do you think it's Collins job next week and then on? I mean it's not like Gannon has been horrible the past couple of weeks. Should be interesting.......

Anybody for bumping Porter if Gannon stays out?
Collins is a much better fit to the stretch-the-field passing game that the Raiders want to run. Gannon is a better West Coast quarterback which they used to run. I don't think Collins is going to light it up tonight (he's looked a bit rusty and not totally in sync with the recs so far) but I do think it will be an improvement down the road. And with K Rob stinking it up I can use all the WR help I can get.

Mother ####er. Started Gannon this week with Pennington on bye. What a stupid stupid play. He had to know that he wasn't going to get in the endzone. WHy not slide there? Did Gannon really think that he was gonna run over Derrick Brooks?

They announced he's getting X-rays on his back. Old fool should know better.
Gus Frerotte meets wall, take 2! :wall: Anyone else a Porter owner who wishes that they had Curry instead?

:wall: :wall: Raider D TD...Well In my other league I was up by 8 and feeling confident and I had the Tampa D and my opponent has the Raider D. Long story short I am now down by 6..Thank you Tampa Bay :wall:

Let's not rush to that decision. Curry only has 1 catch this game...albeit it was for a TD. But Porter does have 4-62 with a lot more looks so far.

What you guys don't seem to understand is that this game is FAR from over. Gruden is a genius after all. Just ask him. :rotflmao:

Nice catch by Porter. If Gannon gets pine duty I'll be too glad I claimed him off of waivers last week !! :horns:

LOL. But even a genius needs something to work with. The Bucs having a "3 yards and a cloud of dust offense" has never been truer than right now. Summerall called it right for once.

:wall: of course I benched Porter this week and played Mason, Fitzgerald, and W. Green at my flex spot.....*******. (that's me ;) )

I believe this offense, or what they have to work with as you put it, is a product of Gruden. He's had input on personnel decisions. Gruden has created (or helped create) this monster of an offense.

quit yer #####ing, you wouldn't have a Super Bowl to celebrate if it wasn't for him. Jesus, ungrateful bastards.

No:McCardell

Jurevicious
Galloway

now GarnerI agree the offense is horrible, and some of it can be blamed on Gruden, but certainly not all of it.

What Super Bowl? I don't recall that year having a Super Bowl. ;)

It would be interesting to see how this offense would be with Galloway and McCardell. Obviously Clayton, Brown, Schroeder and Lee just can't get it done. Gruden is one stubborn mother####er...he needs to put Simms in.

Summerall:Tim Brown with the catch. Beg your pardon that was Dilger, no wait that was Brown :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Congrats, Mr. Raider Tim Brown. Thanks for all the memories and fantasy points, old friend.

Tim Brown just looks wrong in a Buc uniform.
And Warren Sapp doesn't in a Raider uni?
Not as much. Didn't TB change their uniforms about 5 years ago? So Sapp's already worn 2 different jerseys for about 5 years each. Timmy had worn the Silver and Black for 16 years. If there is a "current" player that you associate with the Raiders, it's Tim Brown.Just like Rice (to some degree) still looks odd not being in a SF jersey.

I don't think anyone would care since this doesn't affect fantasy teams, but what happened to Shane Lechler? Why is this Josh Bidwell fellow punting for my SIlver and Black?

Also, not watching the game, but it looks like Nappy is playing well. 9 tackles, 8 solo. How is he looking?

Bidwell is punting for TB. Lechler and the Raiders punting team has yet to see the field.
