Build a FRANCHISE draft (3 Viewers)

Houston Selects Bjoern Werner, DE

Might be a little raw but I love the upside, he is a bit undersized as a 3-4 DE but not by much excellent as a pass rushing DE.

Without off field issues, he'd have been drafted 2 or 3 rounds ago. I don't know if he's worth the problems he creates though.

Was hoping to get Werner. Frustrating seeing him go right before me

Jaguars select:

Dontari Poe, DT

Dre' Kirkpatrick, CB

Both top 20 picks from last year. Poe will play NT for me like he does with KC. He improved late in the year and ended up as the Chiefs rookie of the year. Started all 16 games last year.

Kirkpatrick is a bit of a gamble. Only played a few snaps last year after dealing with some injuries. Everything I've read has him healthy and confident coming into this year. Would like to see what he does, when he's not dinged.

Defense is young with 3 1st rounders from last year and Clay Matthews.

Offense:

Jay Cutler

LeSean McCoy

Eric Decker

Cordalle Patterson

Duane Brown

Anthony Davis

Defense:

Dontari Poe

Clay Matthews

Dre Kirkpatrick

Harrison Smith

10.27 Colts (gandalas) selects Menelik Watson, RT via text
Huge, raw player who can play either tackle position. Mocked in the mid to late first round, he will combine with Gaither to give me the most physically gifted set of tackles in the NFL, however both have their own limitations. QB: Tony RomoWR: Vincent JacksonLT: Jared GaitherRT: Menelik WatsonDE: Cameron WakeDE: Michael JohnsonMLB: Curtis LoftonOLB: Sean WeatherspoonCB: Joe HadenCB: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

At pick 11.6, the Colts take RB Chris Johnson

He has lasted WAY too long. Getting older, but still a dynamic talent at the RB position.

QB: Tony Romo

RB: Chris Johnson

WR: Vincent Jackson

OT: Jared Gaither

OT: Menelik Watson

DE: Cameron Wake

DE: Michael Johnson

MLB: Curtis Lofton

OLB: Sean Weatherspoon

CB: Joe Haden

CB: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Just going by what the draft sites say:
Strengths

Physical specimen. Great size, and tremendously athletic. Explosive first step. Good foot quickness. Showcases mobility and range as a blocker. Able to get to the second level and make cut off blocks. Flexible, bends well. Powerful punch.

Weaknesses

Still raw, limited football experience. Older than ideal. Hand placement is poor. Often hits outside of the frame, and will have a tendency to get overly grabby. Will result in more penalties in the NFL. Needs to play with a wider base. Inconsistent with his footwork.

NFL Comparison

Jared Gaither

Bottom Line

Watson has rare athletic ability on a tremendous frame. He has an explosive first step, light feet, and a powerful punch. There are a lot of things in his game that need to be cleaned up from a technique standpoint, and he will be 25 years old in his rookie season. He can project to either tackle spot, or possibly even inside, at guard.

Oh I don't doubt it, but most physically gifted set of tackles in the NFL?

11.7 Bills - Courtney Upshaw, OLB

I expect a big season from Upshaw, replacing Kruger. Alabama defenders are always nice to have.

Justin Blackmon

Joe Staley

Mike Iupati

Marshall Yanda

Haloti Ngata

Tamba Hali

Donta Hightower

Courtney Upshaw

Chris Houston

11.8 Chiefs select Martellus Bennett

A versatile tight end who can do everything. He makes my offense better in multiple ways and he's still only 26 years old.

WR Torrey Smith 9.8

TE Martellus Bennett 11.8

LT Jared Veldheer 5.8

RT Phil Loadholt 7.8

Defense

DE Calais Campbell 2.8

NT Marcell Dareus 3.8

DE Sharrif Floyd 6.25

OLB Brandon Graham 4.25

CB Richard Sherman 1.25

CB Tarell Brown 10.25

Interesting strategy by going with 3 olb & all about the same size

11.09 - Dolphins select Colin McCarthy, LB

Had a bad 2012 performance, but chalk it up to injury. Only 24 and as long as he is 100%, he should have the ability to perform how he did in his 2011 rookie campaign. In my system, not sure if he will be 3-4 ILB or a 4-3 OLB. Either way, I feel like he has a lot of upside and value in the 10th round.

Offense

2.09 - Russell Okung, LT

3.09 - Randall Cobb, WR

6.24 - Josh Sitton, OG

8.24 - Stefen Wisniewski, C

10.09 - Jeremy Maclin, WR

Defense:

1.24 - Navorro Bowman, LB

4.24 - Robert Quinn, DE

5.09 - Charles Tillman, DB

7.09 - Jabaal Sheard, DL/LB

9.09 - Morgan Burnett, FS

I'd guess it's a 3-4 with Donta at ILB and Hali/Upshaw OLB.

Great pace today guys. Leaving lists pays off!!

15 picks in under 3 hours.

11.11 Cleveland Browns select Louis Vasquez, RG

A lot of directions I could go here but decided to continue strengthening my offensive line. I think Vasquez is a great fit for this team as he's great in pass protection and is very fundamentally sound (0 penalties in 2012). He's only 25 so plenty of time to get even better.

Offense

4.22 QB Geno Smith

3.11 HB C.J. Spiller

1.22 WR A.J. Green

2.11 WR Demaryius Thomas

5.11 LT William Beatty

8.22 OC John Sullivan

11.11 RG Louis Vasquez

7.11 RT Gosder Cherilus

Defense

10.22 CB Derek Cox

9.11 S Troy Polamalu

6.22 S Reshad Jones
