Build a FRANCHISE draft (1 Viewer)

Duckboy has been OTC for 11 hours. He said to skip him after 1 hour even on weekends, so I think we're safe to move on to Fubar. Of course, Fubar said not to PM him, so we'll just have to wait until he shows up.
good timing on me :)Out most of yesterday, just got back in. Will pick after searching for two players I wanted last round.

I'll take another rookie who I expect big things from, he has the pure talent and physical tools to excel. He'll probably be best in a 3-4 - Joseph could play NT and I have no doubt Melton could handle DE duties in the 3-4; but I think he could also play DE in a 4-3 and do well. If he's able to pull his game together with coaching, he could be the next Pierre-Paul or maybe JJ Watt.

17.15 Margus "The Freak" Hunt, DE

I had said to autoskip me over the weekend. That should not occur now. Unfortunate that I checked in last night knowing bamac is east coast and no pm until 3:30 my time. 17.14 WR Ryan BroylesStill believe in the talent. Hope the injuries don't continue. Perfect slot guy assuming that he stays healthy.

I like the pick. He's a bit old for a rookie (26 by start of season) but no doubt his size/speed combo is freakish. I think he'll be fine in 4-3, sort of like a taller Chris Long.

Sorry. To be fair though it was 9am which is 1 hour after our weekday start time.

Sorry, Duckboy. Will try to PM before picking from now on.

And with that pick, my team is:

QB: Tony Romo

RB: Chris Johnson

WR: Vincent Jackson

WR: Justin Hunter

TE: Antonio Gates

LT: Jared Gaither

RT: Menelik Watson

DE: Cameron Wake

DE: Michael Johnson

DT: Jonathan Hankins

OLB: Sean Weatherspoon

MLB: Curtis Lofton

CB: Joe Haden

CB: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

CB: Josh Robinson

FS: Chris Clemons

SS: George Wilson

Solid D. Great pass rush plus very good corners will make it extremely hard to pass on you. But your offense isn't going to move the ball with no line.
Yeah I can only imagine how much CJ2k would complain if he had to run behind that o-line. This is the type of team where the offense will not be able to sustain drives and their solid defense will just get worn out.
or how many turnovers Romo will commit under constatnt pressure - which only further solidifies your second statement.

17.19 Oakland Raiders Select Glenn Dorsey, Defensive Tackle

I've always been high on this guy's talent and upside since he came out of college. I think he fits in well in a 4-3 defense. I like my D-line a lot even though I lack any big names outside of Peppers who probably loses points anyways for being an older player. I believe that this D-line can thrive when leading a game, which should be many times when you look at my offense.

QB - Peyton Manning

RB - Doug Martin

WR - Julio Jones

WR - Denarius Moore

TE - Dustin Keller

LT- Jordan Gross

LG - Chris Kuper

RG - Chris Snee

RT - Donald Penn

DE - Julius Peppers

DE - Da'Quan Bowers

DT - Kawann Short

DT - Glenn Dorsey

OLB - Ahmad Brooks

CB - Prince Amukamara

CB - Aqib Talib

S - Kerry Rhodes

17.21 Cincinnati Bengals select Major Wright, SS

Young, fast, good in coverage, and good against the run. I really like the safety tandem of Wright and Brown.

Offense

1.12 QB Matt Ryan

6.12 RB Arian Foster

3.21 WR Michael Crabtree

11.21 TE Greg Olsen

2.21 LT Ryan Clady

8.12 LG Andy Levitre

12.12 RG Zane Beadles

16.12 RT Terron Armstead

Defense

4.12 DL Corey Liuget

5.21 DL Carlos Dunlap

15.21 DT Dan Williams

7.21 DE/OLB Dion Jordan

9.21 DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo

14.12 LB Arthur Brown

10.12 CB Vontae Davis

13.21 FS Stevie Brown

17.21 SS Major Wright

Whicker Cardinals select Malcom Floyd,WR
First of all... you know you've been around fantasy too long when you look at the name "Malcolm" with the second 'l' and think it's spelled wrong.Second... I think Floyd has been an underrated WR for a couple years. He's not a burner, but he can threaten deep. He's got decent hands, and has proven he can line up as a flanker and be successful. Although Allen and Shorts will project as my starters, on 3 WR sets I'll line Floyd up at Flanker, Shorts at Split End, and move Allen into the slot where I feel he can best make use of his skill set.

17.22 Dallas Selects Giovani Bernard RB

Receiving Skills from a RB will be key in the spread offense; Bernard is a great receiver out of the backfield and excellent in the screen game.

Not sure where Gandalas went, but skip him. Helltoupee texted.
Sorry, I was in a meeting and could not post until now. With pick 17.24, the 49ers select Manti Te'o, LB

I will likely play him at Strong-side LB, as his somewhat slow speed will not be a problem there.

Not that I think he can't do it, but doesn't the strong side LB have to cover the tight end? It seems like he would need to be pretty quick in today's NFL.

SLB does lineup over the tight end but he could be playing a lot of zone. Also Tyvon Branch is on his team who is one of the best against tight ends in man.

17.25 Tyrann Mathieu CB

Its early for him but I'm willing to gamble . He's a playmaker on D & impact punt returner . He's my 2nd CB but will end up being the nickle.

Fair enough. I was questioning more the premise that SLB doesn't need to be fast. I think Teo is going to be fine and would be solid at any linebacker position. He plays faster than he timed.

Damn it I wanted Mathieu here too - nice pick. Risky, but I think he can have an impact.

17.26 Rams select Ryan Mathews - a good runner and receiver, he'll help to take pressure off of Locker in both facets, especially as an outlet and screen receiver.

Seriously, stop sending PMs. It's ####### annoying. I can PM you my cell so you can text. If you don't want that, then just deal with waiting for ebok to do it.

Another pick another rant about not PMing him. :lmao:

Until it works. It's just a pain. It's becoming a respect issue at this point - anyone know how to block PMs from users? Helltoupee doesn't seem to get it.

Hey screw this I'm either PMing no one or everyone. I'm not keeping a list of every pisspot that gets upset at PMs. I don't care either way . Just let me no which one it is PMs for everyone or no one

Screw you . You're not that important that PMs upset you. Really what a MFing jackass

17.28 Vikings select Jonathan Goodwin,C

It's notable that Jonathan Goodwin didn’t allow one sack all season in a 49ers scheme that depends on individual blockers. Goodwin was top-level against the pass rush. In an offensive scheme built on personal responsibility up front, Goodwin was one of most well-rounded centers in the NFL.
He's older, but centers can play for awhile.

Offense

Tom Brady

Darren McFadden

Wes Welker

Danny Amendola

Andrew Whitworth

Kraig Urbik

Jonathan Goodwin

Demar Dotson

Defense

DeMarcus Ware

Kyle Williams

Anthony Spencer

Chad Greenway

Alec Ogletree

Bruce Carter

Jason McCourty

Alterraun Verner

Ryan Clark

Annoying. Was planning on taking him at 30. Surprised he was still available

Surprised Fubar hasnt picked. He's been texted and in and out of the thread several times over the last few minutes. He's a skip in 15 minutes.

17.29 James Casey, FB/TE/WR/QB/XX

This pick is all about versatility and the ability to use Casey in many different roles. Good run blocker for DWilson, good pass blocker and short-yardage receiver for RWilson. Like Chip Kelly, I have high expectations for Casey.

Nice - I was hoping he would last a few more rounds
