Build a FRANCHISE draft (2 Viewers)

With Casey, the Titans offense is almost complete. It might be lacking BIG time names, but Russell Wilson gets one elite WR, one very good WR, two TEs who block well and receive well, and an electric RB who can take it to the house any play. With a great OLine and Miller and Casey blocking downfield, DWilson should do very well.

At any moment, Casey could be in the backfield or split out wide. Miller has a similar skillset and can move to the slot at any time. The offense will keep defenses guessing and should create mismatches. The running QB helps, but I don't plan to run Russell too often. Chip Kelly would love these guys.

Russell Wilson,QB

David Wilson, RB

Dez Bryant, WR

Brian Hartline, WR

Zach Miller, TE

James Casey, X

Eugene Monroe, LT

Max Unger, C

Jahri Evans, OG

Orlando Franklin, RT

Very nice offense

RBM Bears select Brandon Myers, TE
79 catches last year. He and Flacco will become real friendly
Meanwhile, he and Ridley will become worst enemies (bad run blocker)
He actually acknowledged how bad his blocking was, chalking it up to a sprained shoulder he suffered in the preseason. He said he was basically blocking with one arm last year. Hopefully he will get healthy and improve. We love the ability as a receiver though.

Damn it I wanted Mathieu here too - nice pick. Risky, but I think he can have an impact.

17.26 Rams select Ryan Mathews - a good runner and receiver, he'll help to take pressure off of Locker in both facets, especially as an outlet and screen receiver.
What do you mean by good.....
He's got a positive DYAR in spite of running behind a bottom ten run blocking line, according to Football Outsiders. Also, PFF has him rated positively in both aspects.

4.3 and 4.9 ypc last two years. 4.4 for career.

Prior to a down season last year, he had two seasons of high reception numbers, and his 2011 included 9.1 ypr, as well as higher ratings in DVOA and DYAR.

No heart. I've owned him in my dynasty league since his rookie year. Loaded with talent but just don't think he's got enough passion or toughness or whatever you want to call that mental part that makes a star.

I prefer to measure things like actual on field production than "heart." Nobody gets to the NFL without a top work ethic and sense of competition. And we're at the end of round 17 - I don't need a star. I need a guy with talent.

Awesomeauger (Saints) selections and comments via PM:

17.32 Frank Gore, RB

18.01 Marcus Gilbert, LT

Gilbert excels in pass protection and the current plan is to move Bulaga back to RT and let Gilbert play LT. In 5 games in 2012, Gilbert had a +3.9 pass protection grade. In 2011 he had a +10.3 pass protection grade. In 2013, Gilbert is projected to start at LT for the Steelers. Gore is still one of the best in the league who has no holes in his game. The only knock on Gore is his age.

Jonathan Cyprien,S

Hot prospect, could sneak into the first round. Everyone seems to love the small school prospect.

Had no idea I was up.

18.6 Bears - Danieal Manning, S

Feel kind of lucky that I waited this long to take a safety and I still am able to get a stable, versatile veteran

Eh. As usual, I came to the site and came to this thread first. Who'd have thought? I made it easier on myself and just blocked PMs. Not a big deal anymore, but I feel like I should at least do yall the favor of letting you know I've eliminated them, so not only are they no longer a pain, but they're also a waste of time if you send one. #######.I'll have my pick up in the next hour or so, when I've grouped together and made it to my computer.

18.7 Rams select Stephen Paea, DT

Build that line depth with a guy who could start. Also very young, improving. Look at this defense:

DLINE

J.J. Watt

Vince Wilfork

Nick Fairley

Williams Hayes

Rotating in: Stephen Paea

LINEBACKERS

Derrick Johnson

DeMeco Ryans

K.J. Wright

DBs

Devin McCourty

T.J. Ward

Sam Shields

Leonard Johnson

I need either a FS or another corner I can trust a bit (and move McCourty to FS, where he also excelled). With this line and the pressure I'll be creating, plus a wall against the run in the linebackers, these corners shouldn't need to cover guys for an eternity - I'll be getting to the QB often, even with just a front four rush. 7 guys in coverage is nice.

With the 9th pick in the 18th round, the 49ers select DE John Abraham

old Man, yes. But he is still playing at a HIGHLY productive level (Averaging 11 sacks over the past 3 years) and has NEVER lined up across from an end as talented as Jared Allen. Allen and Abraham will help each other out. Which one will you double?

Good pick. I shied away from him because of his age and went with the younger Umenyiora just like the Falcons did. At this point of the draft he's a good value.

:goodposting: I almost took him this past turn to rotate with Freeney/Bennett.

Shaun Ellis?Ok, just kidding.

18.11 Dallas Selects - David Harris MLB

Need a sure tackler in the middle of my D; Harris fits the bill. He is athletic and only 29 years old. I like his production this late in the draft.

I think for me the risk of going very heavy offense in the beginning was that my D would be weak, but I looking at my D I really like how its shaped up. I think this D will be able to hold opponents under 24 pts a game, which with my explosive offense should be plenty.

18.12 Cincinnati Bengals select Golden Tate, WR

I cannot believe that Tate fell this far. He finally had a breakout season in 2012. He's only 24 (25 at start of season).

His 21 broken/missed tackles (including playoffs) were 2nd in the league to only Percy Harvin, and he averaged about 6 YAC per reception. His QB didn't pass much (455 attempts, 22nd in the league) but he snagged 71.4% of his catches and only dropped 2.

I'm sure his production in 2013 will drop but I'm sure if Harvin didn't go there he would have been poised for a really great year. Now he'll need an injury to Harvin or Rice to really show his stuff. I'm happy to have him as my #2 WR for the possibilities of what he could have been if given the chance.

Offense

1.12 QB Matt Ryan

6.12 RB Arian Foster

3.21 WR Michael Crabtree

18.12 WR Golden Tate

11.21 TE Greg Olsen

2.21 LT Ryan Clady

8.12 LG Andy Levitre

12.12 RG Zane Beadles

16.12 RT Terron Armstead

Defense

4.12 DL Corey Liuget

5.21 DL Carlos Dunlap

15.21 DT Dan Williams

7.21 DE/OLB Dion Jordan

9.21 DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo

14.12 LB Arthur Brown

10.12 CB Vontae Davis

13.21 FS Stevie Brown

17.21 SS Major Wright

had him typed in but switched to Babin this round. The two year difference at this point was enough to push Babin over IMO, but Abraham should be good.

Thanks for the PM Ex , old pisspot couldn't be bothered. 18.08 David Hawthorne LB Steelers
I texted 8. If you'd like to send a phone number, I'll text you. Of course, if you could have respected my wish and not PM'd me, I'd have probably returned that like a normal human and respected your wish to get PMs. Get over yourself.

I love good internet fights.
Thanks!I also really like the Golden Tate pick. I stared at him long and hard before going with Paea - trying to stick with my original philosophy of a top defense there. Had he made it to the Broncos, he'd have been picked. I think that we may see dips in production for him with Harvin there now, and wonder if he'll get lost without a whole lot of touches.

I think you both are being childish. Here's the mature thing to do:Instinctive - please send Helltoupee a PM with your number so he can text you when you are up. Then send him a Pm when he is up.Helltoupee - use the number that Instinctive provides you, rather than PMLet's play nice :)
