Bulger is killing me (1 Viewer)

What a difference Pace made being in there.

Bulger was being PUNISHED this weekend. I don't think that he will make it through another game like that.

I'm going to do something that I have never done before, grab the QB's backup.

Just wondering what other Bulger owners are thinking.

Me, too. Unreal. He had -1.6 points for me, and I lost be 12 points... Larry Johnson didn't help either, nor did benching Kevin Curtis.

Luckily, there's a guy in my league that dropped Rivers, and I have Cutler. I'm going to platoon my QBs, but that is CERTAINLY not what I planned on doing. I need Bulger to prove that he can get things straight before I take a chance again in a scenario on the road against a decent defense...

I seem to be starting the wrong guy every week. I started off with Bulger in wk 1. He stunk as Romo exploded with 5 TD's. So the next week, I start Romo and he has an average game while Bulger, on my bench, throws for over 300 and a TD. So this week, I go with Bulger thinking this HAS TO BE the week he gets back on track...and he proceeds to stink it up yet again while Romo throws for over 300 and 2 TD's.

Romo is my starter from here on out. Screw this QBBC crap!

I am very concerned about Bulger's going forward production for 2007. Prior to last year, he was not overly durable.

In a 12 team league in which you can start a 2nd QB at Super Flex, I was just offered Bulger (who was a 2nd round draft choice) for Derek Anderson (who I claimed of WW) and DeShaun Foster. Even though this would be a classic "Buy Low (Bulger)/Sell High (Foster)" opportunity I think that I will pass on the deal unless I get something else of value thrown in (like the NE Def). Foster is my RB4 or RB5 (depending upon where one ranks KJones). 2 weeks ago I had talked about this type of deal involving Lamont Jordan and Garrard from me in exchange for Bulger and the other owner wanted to wait for Week 2 to see Jordan's results. Following Week 2 I said Jordan was no longer available for Bulger.

I offer the above not to share minutia of trade talks within my league, but simply to illustrate the prevailing trading level of the stock in one Marc Bulger.

The offense is out of synch, so why would you pick up the vastly inferior backup QB?
Because ATM, there are no other options available for me since this leagues allows you to have 3 QB's on the roster. So it's either grab Bulger's backup or have to start people that won't be starters for very long.

1) Frerotte is not a starter at all.2) If Bulger gets injured, Frerotte will produce less than Bulger, who isn't producing.

I am aware of this, but considering that my alternatives aren't great (Grossman,McNair/Boller) and our WW system in this league is jacked up and not based on worst record get first shot, my chances of grabbing someone other than Bulger's backup is slim to none. That's why I was wondering what other owners were thinking/doing.

2006 First 3 Games: 58/99 , 711 Passing Yards, 2 TD's 0 INT

2007 First 3 Games: 63/109, 651 Passing Yards, 2 TD's 3 INT's

I wouldn't jump off the bridge just yet. The YPA is a disturbing metric, but Bulger wasn't on fire until October last year too...

I'm thinking I valued the Rams passing game way too high. I took Bulger as my QB #1, Culpepper as my backup, and Frerotte as my 3rd. My thinking was Frerotte has been a very good backup in the past and thought the Rams would be a strong passing offense either way :excited: If the Rams were clicking like usual on offense I would agree with picking up Frerotte but as of now I think the problem is deeper than the QB.Bottom line I was concerned about Bulger getting knocked out by injury, but thought Ram offense would still produce with Frerotte. Now I'm not sure what to think??

Interesting stats. I'm holding too with hopes that Bulger & the o-line will come around...

Oh great.... Bugler too? With Larry Johnson, Jones-Drew and Lee Evans as my other starters.... I may have the ALL-TIME SLOW STARTER TEAM.
