C.Benson against Philly (1 Viewer)

Rounders

Footballguy
FBG has given Benson a favorable ranking this week and has him with a nice set of projections. I looked at the FP Matchups and the SOS in order to gain some other perspective on this and both were negative to the projections/ranking.

I can not understand it myself and thought that I was missing something??? :goodposting:

What say you, is Benson a good RB2 this week? Is Philly's defense going to shut him down? Does he have a chance at 100 yards? Will he pick up some garbarge time stats?

It's a terrible matchup for him, and the matchups don't get any better with PIT and Balt. to follow. Leave him benched. He's sitting on waivers in one league and I didn't pick him up after seeing this schedule....

Don't know about that. Although it's easy to say that the Eagles will be fired up, bottom line is they just got ABUSED in the run game by the Giants. I own the Eagles D, and although they can be tough because they blitz run lanes, they can be run on. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Benson break a few to the second level. The bigger question is whether the Bengals will be in the game long enough for a running game to matter. If Eagles are up 28-0 in the second, I doubt he does much.

I usually have a good feel about which RB's will run all over my birds. Teams with very good run blocking AND an effective passing game always destroy them. Jim Johnson schemes to take away team's strengths. Tough to do against a balanced team. Cincy doesn't even come close to fitting that description. I would start about 30 rb's over him.

At this point they are the same ol' Bungles. I own Benson and I can't see starting him ever. Well maybe in rare occasions. If he plays well vs the Eagles then B. Jacobs should get some credit for beating them up so bad last week that their still hurting.

The bottom dropped out on Marvin at the RB position and management should of seen it coming.

Shut Palmer down, clean house, sign a real RB and trade your WR's while they will still get you something.

Palmer to Crabtree sounds nice.

I don't know, I think Benson stays around as the starting RB for Cincy in 2009...he hasn't been all that bad, considering he was unemployed, just a few weeks ago.. :lmao: he's young, and a former first round pick...they'll give him a chance at least...

a new coaching staff, a healthy Palmer, trading CJ in the off-season..these are things that will improve the Bengals' as a whole.

But I think Cincy has more glaring needs than drafting a star RB..the need O-line help, and for pete's sake, can they draft a few good defensive players for the first time in 20 years? please..please. :lmao:

that team is stuck in reverse, has been for some time now..

the team needs a housecleaning, from top to bottom, all coaches need to go, all front office personnel need to go..

start from scratch..

I picked him up after his big game, but after looking at his schedule, dropped him this week for a flyer on Caddy. I too was pretty mystified by the high stats projected from FBG but, we'll see.
