Can we get a collective WDIS thread for week 15? (1 Viewer)

Hey folks,

Need some advice. Miraculously made the finals with my crappy 5-8 team.

I have Denard Robinson, Lamar Miller, and Darern McFadden. Which two should I start?

It's a .5/rec ppr league 10yd/pt 6pt/td

Denard and Miller have the cake match up but Miller's in a clown show in Miami and I just don't know what to expect from them.

I'm also stuck with Eli vs Minn & Kirk Cousins vs Phi. Usually Eli is an auto plugin for me but thanks for nothing Odell. Which guy would you toss under center?

Thanks!
Avoid Miller. You will kick your own ### if you roll with him in a championship game and Miami does you in per usual. Cousins has a much higher upside in this game. He's the play to win you the game while Eli feels like the trying not to lose play. Good luck

Am I crazy to consider Powell here? PPR league....

Gurley @ SEA

B. Powell vs NE

T. Riddick vs SF
I like Powell over Riddick. This isn't a Theo game IMO; the Lions offense should roll meaning more carries for Joiaue & AA.

Gurley is a tough one, but see my post in his thread on why he is worth considering.

Really having trouble with this...

PPR WR3, pick one of:

Calvin Johnson vs San Francisco

Ted Ginn @ Atlanta

Randall Cobb @ Arizona

Another RB dilemma involving Gurley. Lost OBJ, now it looks like Watson is iffy, and Edelman is doubtful, so my flex is probably going to be a RB. That means I need THREE of the following (.5PPR):

A. Andrews vs HOU

Lacy @ ARI

Gurley @ SEA

Hillman vs CIN

J. White @ NYJ

Sadly, White might be the only "no-brainer" here, in my opinion. Thinking Gurley as well (just on pure upside). Not entirely sure on the third one. Andrews might be the "safe" bet to get touches, but Lacy might have a higher ceiling. Ugh.

Agree with this, for what it's worth.

Ok, I'm torn at RB for my 1 pt PPR league.

David Johnson,Gurley,West,DMC,Powell, Denard R., B. Powell: I like DJ (no brainer) and Denard. However, I have a feeling Gurley may put up a good game. I think Powell goes off for 6-7 catches against the Pats also.

Anyone like Pittsburgh or Detroit over Denver on Defense

Need a flex: Allen Hurns or Ryan Mathews (0.5 PPR)...looks to be a very close championship matchup.

Thanks!

Hurns was a full participant Friday. Not sure if the Saints will roll the safety to AR15 every play like they did v. CJ/DET but if they do I would think Hurns will benefit.

I would hate to rely on Matthews or Sproles tonight. Just hard to predict Chip's RB usage.

I'd hate to have Breaux on him, since Hurns is usually on the same side of the field that he covers. But I guess that's better than being doubled each play.

But now Alfred Morris is an option given that Jones is not active tonight.

I'd go Hurns.

I have 5 20-30 range WR's that I need to pick two of. 0.5 PPR and length of TD's increase value of TD's (from 5 for 0-10 yds, to 12 for 80+ ) Any help is appreciated.

J. Brown, Hurns, Lockett, Ginn Jr., Benjamin

Given that distance gives you additional points, Brown and Ginn each get a boost. Lockett's value depends in part on whether or not Baldwin plays (looking more likely that he will). Hurns is the safest play vs. NO. Do you need upside or downside protection?

I probably need to swing for the fences with these two spots. I currently have Brown and Lockett in. MY QB's all are hurt and I'm down to Mettenberger (Romo, Dalton, Hoyer owner).

I also have to chose between AZ, DET, HOU - leaning HOU right now

My opponents roster is below. He has a pretty good chance at scoring big points this week. The TE's get 1 point per catch so he starts two. I do the same with Gronk and Walker.

QB Rodgers,
RB Hightower,
WR Landry,
WR Snead,
TE Olsen
TE Reed
R/W/T Woodhead
K - Brown
TmD - DEN

If you need the upside, I'd go with Brown and Ginn. Both can score long TDs and their QBs are looking for them. Brown should have had at least 2 TDs last week (maybe 3) and look at the surge in passes to Ginn last week!

Good luck!

I am in bad shape at QB. Brees is my starter and the other other QB on my roster is Ryan. He scored less than 5pts the last time he played Carolina (1/25yds, 6/TD, -2/turnover). Since the Saints play a late game, the only late game options are Keenum and the Saints' backup. I could pick up Hasselbeck, Weeden, Mallet, or Mettenberger.

So what would you guys do? Start Ryan? Pick up someone else and start them? Roll with Brees and if he doesn't play, start the backup?

I don't need a 30-40 point game from my QB, as my roster is pretty solid, but I would like to get 15-20 (which is a mid-QB2 average).

Weeden threw pretty well last week and TN is terrible against the pass. A reasonable 15-20 ranking -- probably will get you into your range.

Ryan hasn't put up a 15 FF game since Week 11, last went over 20 Week 8 (4 pt TD.) No way you can trust him v. the Panthers.

I like the Luke McCown idea. He did put up 310 v. CAR earlier this year. Personally I think Brees guts it out.

McCown is on IR. I haven't seen a definite on who would be the starter if Brees is out.

I'd roll with Brees but pick up Keenum just in case you need to put him in. Rams should be losing big and needing to throw...not that it'll turn out well, but it's something.

I have to play Mettenberger myself, wish I had Brees at this point.

Good luck

Out of the following options for my flex spot, which guy would you go with? (1 pt PPR):

James White

Karlos Williams

Tim Hightower

Rueben Randle

Frank Gore

Also need to pick a TE out of the following for the same team (same format, 1 pt PPR):

Travis Kelce

Zach Miller

Will Tye

And lastly, which defense would you guys go with out of the following: Chiefs, Panthers, or Bengals?

As of right now, I have White, Z. Miller, and the Chiefs DEF in, but I keep going back and forth. I'm so confused! What do you guys think?

I'd go Brown and Ginn for the upside. I'm very tempted to go Hurns over Ginn though, but I think I'd go with Brown+Ginn.

As for the defense in the other post, I'm a bit biased, but I think I'd go with HOU. I have a very bad experience in fantasy football with the Lions defense, so I'm most likely biased there. They do have a good matchup at home, but I've pledged to never play the Lions defense again, so I just cannot advise starting them.

tough ones. I'd go with the Chiefs. They should kill Cleveland in KC with 90K+ fans behind them.

White is my initial choice, but worry about the NYJ D and who knows what Belichick has in his plans with Steven Jackson and the use of the passing game.

Karlos Williams would be tough for me not to play against Dallas' D. I'd say Williams if you feel comfortable with his health.

I think Miller finally scores this week and would be comfortable starting him.

I like the lineup you selected.
