he's got the Jags 4-1 and a narrow last second loss from 5-0, he's doing something right. Owners don't hire coaches to make our fantasy teams better.Think Coen is a fraud by the looks of it
Josh Norris
so far tonight we've seen Travis Hunter be dangerous after the catch
and be dangerous going up for a contested catch
more offense, please
They essentially put up 31 pts against a damn good KC defense tonight if you count that fluke Lawerence fumble at the goal line.I am not talking about his record, I am talking about Coen's offense
Not the team's record. Honestly they are winning to the defense playing pretty good
Seems like lots of luck with the turnovers also
They are not winning because of the offense
Yeah, thanks Saints but I was wrong on that one and I was certainly not talking about defense.Called it? Because of 2 targets through three quarters?Called it.Got a strong feeling they are going to try really heard to showcase him tonight in prime time….in part to try and silence those critical of the trade.
TL is not good, that was a known thing, Coen's offense is bad also.
He has not helped any of his offensive players by putting them in the best position to succeed
TL has not looked all that good or even better at all
Think it was the player's in Tampa and not Coen that made that offense work
At least that is what it is looking like now
Baker is dealing, actually even better than when Coen was there
Think Coen is a fraud by the looks of it
On the flip side, Coen/Lawrence have had minimal time to figure out how each other work. What I saw last night tells me that Coen's system is intricate and that TLaw is struggling to translate and get the plays called in a timely manner. I suspect this might be one of those occasions when it takes a full year of running the offense and another offseason to really have them click. I do remember that Johnson's 1st year at DET wasn't stellar and Goff took a while to figure it out.TL is not good, that was a known thing, Coen's offense is bad also.

There was a lot of hubbub this offseason about the systems of Coen, KOC, and Ben Johnson. So far it seems like mostly much ado about nothing, and as has been common lately it's had more to do with the QBs.
Coen - Baker still balling in Tampa, Jags offensive sputtering with Coen
KOC - Darnold now balling in Seattle, JJM looked bad with KOC, Minn offense near bottom 5 in yardage
Johnson - this one more of a wash, Bears offense has been solid but Lions aren't really missing a beat without him

In some fairness, this is Lawrence's third different regime/coaching staff he's had to deal with (including that initial Urban stench). But at some point, the excuses wear thin and he's clearly just not the generational guy most thought he'd be.On the flip side, Coen/Lawrence have had minimal time to figure out how each other work. Possibly, honestly I just don't think TL is good enough to get better mentally, have watched him play since he came in the league
and he has not gotten better at processing, he is slow in reading things before and after the snap
He just is not good enough or have the mental tools to be a good QB
He does not see the field very well still, can't process things happening fast enough during a play
How the team is being run is to hide TL Run the ball, play good defense, all to hide a subpar QB
To tag along with that. Using PFF grades again, the Jags have the #1 coverage defense in the NFL, and the 29th receiving grade. The need at WR is a ton bigger.Per PFF, Hunter played 39 offensive snaps (72% of offensive plays) and 25 defensive snaps. The utilization on offense still isn't there, but seems like the arrow is at least pointing up.
I said as much in the game topic.Coen or Lawrence or both are overrated because these WRs are just not getting schemed open IMHO.
He’s certainly gotten more out of ETN than anyone - but as I’d pointed out in the Baker topic all off-season, Baker only improved marginally with Coen, and it’s chicken & the egg-ish whether Coen made Baker better, or whether having better weapons & Irving toting the rock that made Baker better.Maybe Coen turns it around, it's possible. But for now, it feels like the "Coen is a genius" rhetoric was more hype than truth.
Hello. I am here because Hunter is out there on waivers in my 10 team .5ppr league and I might be the only one to put in a FAAB tonight.
I knew nothing about him other than the typical trending takes - he splits off/def snaps, no TDs yet, haven’t had a breakout game. Blah blah.
But here I am. After reading this impactful thread. Why I love our Sharkpool.
I think Coen is going to give him even more WR snaps.
TL seems to have a better chemistry with him than BTJ.
They beat Maholmes on Primetime with Hunter making game changing plays as a WR.
Strange is now on IR. He leads them in receiving. They need offensive playmakers.
Unlocking Hunter = unlocking BTJ. Hunter’s ball skills underneath will open the outside.
A defense trying to cover just BTJ far different than covering both Hunter + BTJ together.
As my WR5, it’s a risk I’ll take on that pedigree. Understandably, he had a high ADP. We at least need to see what Coen will do now that Stranger is on IR.
I’ll do what I can to acquire him.
Obviously every roster and bench size is different. Ours are fairly shallow with 5 spots. I’m holding him until a bye forces me to either drop him or start him if nothing else on the wire presents itself. I have started him once in week 2. And won’t again till after he gets a plethora of targets. How are feeling about Travis Hunter as a hold in redraft? Talent and potential are immense.
Hes WR26 in my IDP leagueHow are feeling about Travis Hunter as a hold in redraft? Talent and potential are immense.
I mean, it can't hurt that the guy who was tied with Hunter for 2nd in targets just went on IR.I will believe the “more opportunities” coach speak as soon as the more opportunities become tangible.
Will believe it when I see it - if it's true and he blows up on my bench, so be it. Then maybe we'll finally have something after their bye.
Just a coach scrambling to appease the press because they gave up way too much to get him and they have no clue how to deploy him. He'll get 40% of route share and 3 targets. Will believe it when I see it - if it's true and he blows up on my bench, so be it. Then maybe we'll finally have something after their bye.
He had me when they showed him during the NFL Draft and he was playing Clash of Clans on his phone.Hunter is fun to watch. Looked like a kid having fun playing ball.
He’s killing me in fantasy football but I can’t help but smile watching him play.
The whole front office is cleaned out if he busts ..Bust of the Year
He’s not gonna be startable all season IMHO
I wanted to see at least one before I took a shot across the bow
60/800/4-5 TDs was what i was going to project for 2025 with an open end that I can adjust these based on camp reports and such
I don't think Hunter will come close to what BTJ was able to produce as a rookie last year, don't really feel like that's a hot take as most don't find that kind of success ever in their careers
And some of these posts are from April and early May, this wasn't something you needed to gather info from the Coach and all his coach speak about this guy being a 2-way playerLet's stop all the faux bickering for a minute and get down to brass tax
Would someone start us off on projected rookie numbers for Hunter as a Wide Receiver?
I have mine but would like to see some of those that are quite bullish on Hunter go ahead and post what they see as a reasonable number his 1st year with Jacksonville.

I'm shocked so many are wanting shares of Hunter, for Redraft'25 purposes, he's not on the MoP radar right now, sorry to dynasty heads with No 2 picks that want to fall in love
If they brought Mac Jones back they would be a lot better off.
Absolutely. If they brought Mac Jones back they would be a lot better off.
If they continue to use him like they have, there is no way he does not bustThe whole front office is cleaned out if he busts ..Bust of the Year
