CC Brown (1 Viewer)

Since suffering a knee injury a few weeks ago, the Texans have not played CC Brown in passing situations. His numbers have reflected this change. I didn't get to see the Texans game this week, but Brown had good numbers. Did anybody see the game and did Brown play in passing situations? What do his numbers look like going forward?

Jason Simmons left the field early in the first quarter with a leg injury. Brown's future value will depend on the severity of the injury.

Texans | Simmons to miss practice, out for Week 11Mon, 14 Nov 2005 14:27:08 -0800Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans S Jason Simmons (hamstring) will miss practice Wednesday, Nov. 16, and be out 2-to-4 weeks.

from KFFL:

Texans | Earl could start in Week 11Fri, 18 Nov 2005 15:56:37 -0800Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports S Glenn Earl could start ahead of SS C.C. Brown at strong safety in Week 11, due to Brown's recent struggles.

Houston DB Glenn Earl, inactive for the first 9 games, could start Sunday night vs. the Chiefs because DB Jason Simmons is out. Coach Dom Capers is considering putting current strong safety C.C. Brown at free safety and starting Earl at strong safety.

I thought CC Brown was considered a liability in pass coverage so I was little confused how Capers could make him a FS. But your post agrees with Capers statements (houstontexans.com):
Second helping: With safety Jason Simmons sidelined with a hamstring injury, the Texans have moved safety Glenn Earl back into the rotation to give rookie strong safety C.C. Brown more reps at free safety.

Capers is not sure whether Brown or Earl will start at strong safety, but he said to expect to see more Earl than usual because he likes how Earl’s size matches up against Kansas City running back Larry Johnson.

“You’d like to meet strength with strength,” Capers said. “And (Earl) played against these guys last year, and did a good job in terms of supporting the run.”
I assume that Marcus Coleman is also playing. What a mess?
