Chess Tournament- Round 3 pairings listed in Post #2 (4 Viewers)

Chaz beats Nick Vermeil
I accepted your invite on chess time. Apparently, I grade out at a 1200 or less player. After about 6 moves I follow no chess maxims because I don't know any except to develop pieces and then go from there. It's good to get my mind grinding. Good luck.

I'm pretty much the same. I watch chess video's on traps and such, but I can never remember them. I just develop at the beginning too, and try not to blunder early. I'm around 1200 on chess.com.

@scoobus defeats Tri-man. He got an early edge and just kept coming at me. I was always on the defensive and his attacks put me in a bad alignment of my pieces. My only hope was for him to blunder, but alas…

Just for the record I have never seen this in our games. For such a nice guy you are a mean, aggressive bully on the chessboard. :p

While I didn't get a chance to attack as I'd have liked, I was still holding my own until this: scoob moved a knight rather deep into my territory. I saw where he was headed into either position 1 or position 2. I moved a rook to cover both of those. Except ...I was looking at the wrong square for position 2. :wall: Position 2 was unprotected, and he moved his knight there, which allowed him to fork my king and my recently repositioned rook. A rather unique type of blunder.
