Chester Taylor (1 Viewer)

Published Sun Sep 16 10:01:00 a.m. ET 2007

(KFFL) Sean Jensen, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Chester Taylor (oblique, hip) is not expected to play Week 2, according to a source.

Memo could be a sneaky play in PPR leagues. I have a hard time believing Peterson will be used exclusively again (out of necessity last week as they had no other backs activated) in his 2nd NFL game.

Does this make Mewelde Moore an option?

Not that I have him, but with Rookie Adrian Peterson, do they want to over use him this early?

Probably in very deep leagues only. (14-16 teams) Too risky w/o knowing if/how he'll be used.

He's been buried by Childress for some reason. If they're going to deactivate him each week, they should of dealt him for a pick in the preseason. His 3rd down skills + special teams value, some team would of given a pick for him.

It's no sure thing he'll get many touches. I think he'll get a few (because it'd be silly to overuse Peterson this soon) and will be in on 3rd downs, But then my name isn't Brad Childress either.

I think Moore is not buried not for "some reason".. rather he is inferior to AD (Obviously) and Taylor.. There is no reason to play him. However, he is injury insurance and has a low salary so he is worth keeping on the roster. If they were to trade him, they'd get a 5th rounder at best... (and probably a 6th or less)

Adrian Peterson, RB MIN

News: The St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that Vikings running back Chester Taylor is not expected to play in Week 2 at Detroit, according to a source close to the situation. That means Adrian Peterson will start and get most of the carries Sunday.

he would have been declared out much earlier had this game been anywhere else than Detroit this week.

Whatever "Cadillac's" rook record for the 1st 4 games was...might get shattered in 3 if ADP has another big game today.
