Is kang supposed to take the throw in right field?. If you support dirty play just say so, and hopefully that piece of crap takes one in the jaw and sips his dinner for a few months

That slide happens every day and every middle infielder in baseball knows it's coming. Kang just planted his foot in the wrong place and got caught. Dirty slide is when you roll up on a guy or slide really late. Kang knows it was a clean baseball play and he just got unlucky. I hate seeing him get hurt, especially this badly. He's one of the most likable rookies to watch this season, and he's been getting better all year. Hope he comes back strong next season.

Coghlan did get booed pretty good though. And that's just fan nature. I don't blame them for booing. It's hard to see one of your key guys go down like that. Hopefully on further reflection most people realize it was a clean slide.notedIE is the only Pirates fan in here who called it a dirty slide

Yeah I think that would be an expected initial fan reaction anywhere. Most Pirates fans probably saw that play as the moment where the hopes of a long postseason run ended. It also didn't help that the Bucs had just been shut down 2 games in a row. Personally I think it's ridiculous to give up on the season. Look at what the Cards have done with all of their injuries. It will be a fun couple weeks and I'm looking forward to that WC game where the Cubs will have to face a pitcher who has the potential to be as dominant as anyone in baseball.
