"Confirmed - good news for Titans. RT @jwyattsports: TItans agreed to 4-yr, $53.5 million deal with Chris Johnson. 30 guaranteed" -Schefter

Bump to top 3 automatically or are we concerned about his lack of team workouts?

Top 3.... you'd be the tard who was afraid of injury.. and it will cost you a championship... definitely grab him

I am personally THRILLED he has avoided working out and playing. He is a stud. I don't want him injured like Foster due to a meaningless game.

wow 13.4 mil per year
FF'ers will rejoice. The Titans will regret that in real life. Insane amount to give a RB, given the circumstances. Sure, if its Ray Rice and you're knocking on the door of a title, yeah, but not the Titans. then again, I was against the Niners giving Gore an extension. I would have let him ride this year out and likely parted ways or tagged him/traded him.

In PPR...I'm leaning to the top group of RBs looking like...

AP

CJ

Rice

Foster

Wrong?

Johnson's schedule is much more friendly...both in the beginning and in the playoffs weeks.

Rice has the higher floor...but CJ's ceiling can win you your league.

Foster-I've had player with hamstring injuries before...no thx. Still top 4, but end of that group for me.

Rotoworld is saying it's a 4-yr. extension, so the numbers may not be as bad as they seem (he wasn't owed much for the next 2 years).

 Got CJ with the number 9 pick last night. Hope he does not pull a hammy in week 1!
What is the over under on how many CJ has signed threads get started. We have a CJ thread with over 10 pages. Why not just post there?
That thread is titled "CJ TO HOLDOUT". Until the title is changed I think it's fair to have a new thread.

I'd still put CJ below Rice but really the top 4 of Foster, CJ, Rice, and AP are pretty dead heat and McCoy and JC aren't far behind. Nervous about Mendy's 400+ carries so somewhere in there is where you go AJ/Rodgers depending on your scoring system. My draft was a few weeks ago and from 1.06 passed on CJ for AJ (PPR). May regret it now but the 1.09 team has to be loving it who took him.

No doubt. This is HUGE news for those of us that have not drafted yet, or to those who took a chance on him as a value pick in the late first round.

Just posted this in the other CJ thread. Schefter tweeted that the 4 years after in addition to the 2 remaining years in on his contract. If so it is more like a 6 year contract at $56.2m (as he had 2 years at a max of $2.7m left), or only about $9.4m per year.

It's a lot of $$$ but TEN fans would have been upset if they hadn't gotten it done. Wished I hadn't passed on this guy with my #7 pick last week, but it didn't sound promising at the time. As far as where he belongs now, I'd have to say right back in the top 5. Foster has the hammy, ADP has a terrible line, Charles isn't used enough....they all have FF 'worries'. It might take CJ3 a game or two to get back in the groove, but if you passed on him I'm guessing most will regret it come playoff time.
