Thats because he is NOT!

I know it is week four, but not a ding. Not a pull. Not a strain.

So simply watch the video below and listen to the strength and conditioning coach that CP worked with all summer.

Then watch the highlights of the Michigan game yesterday and watch those kids stay fresh and strong at the end of the game.

CP will get better as the year goes on. My prediction.

If you got him, start him. If you can buy low, get him. If you can sell high, don't.

Peace

The man that scares Chuck Norris

Pray tell, where was this information before we all drafted??
I am not showing all my cards prior to the draft. But the fact that CP was working out in Ann Arbor all summer was on the boards here and mentioned in couple of other Barwis videos on the M Go Blue site.I see this as being sorta like the Jerry Rice summer program. Back in the day JR was a workout freak and several other players would work out with him in the summer. And we all know how long JR was a beast...Peace

I have him as a #2 RB. I admit he has put up decent stats thusfar. However, he has looked...slow to me thusfar. I hope he continues to improve.

If 3 ypc and staying healthy for 3 weeks was your goal then you have done good!
 He's a top-20 back in my scoring system. Not all that impressive, right?Did I mention that he's played Baltimore, Tennessee and the Giants. You couldn't get much more of a brutal 3-game stretch.Color me encouraged.

Did not mean to Jinx. this is not a no-hitter after all.

But CP will go off today.

For those who are worried about the jinx.....

CP WILL GO DOWN QUICKER THAN KI-JANA CARTER DID IN THE PRESEASON AGAINST THE LIONS.

You could always edit your original post to say "I LIKE PIE" or something, and we'll all pretend this never happened.

Thanks for the jinx, ######! :lmao:

Please lock this thread. If ever there was a jinx, this lunacy is it. :sigh: Was hoping for a good game today too.

:goodposting: I was thinking WAFFLES! LOL

Any opinions out there on How the QB change will affect Perry's numbers today?

I think that with the change to Fitzpatrick you might see the Browns try to make the Benglals beat them through the air. Which they can do.

Downgrade Perry, upgrade Housh! and CJ.

For those who don't know much about football, Cleveland doesn't need to respect the pass today.

Ryan Fitzpatrick. The End.

Shouldn't matter. It's CLEVELAND for crying out loud!
This may be news to you, but if two terrible teams play and one stacsk the box against an average running back, the RB probably isn't going anywhere.

I guess I am one of the Chris Perry "haters" the title of this thread is referring to.

So, how can I put this without offending your delicate Chris Perry loving sensitibilities?

Chris Perry STINKS!

He is awful. Anyone foolish enough to start this guy is getting exactly what they deserve.

Bye-bye
Nice job contributing absolutely nothing to the conversation.

 Poor Avery.
If you don't like a player that's just fine.Explain.

Discuss.

Not to act as thread police, but if you just want to act like a troll and drop in here and rant that a player sucks, take it to the venting/bragging thread or to another board.

You must be new here. Go find a thread where he has contributed ANYTHING of substance.HTH

Perry looked very mediocre today and I really don't think you can place the blame squarely on his "bad" team. He's part of that team and he just doesn't look very explosive.

Perry hasn't looked good since he was in college. I find it hard to believe people are buying into him again. He's a below average nfl RB who can't stay healthy. They will be drafting a RB, or getting one in FA. They have a very weak RB core.

Is Perry worth a start today over Larry Johnson?
Not anymore.
Uh he was at some point? Maybe, and only maybe, when LJ was hurt and not playing. Even then, it would depend on Perry's matchup.
football guys rankings had him about 10 spots above LJ :pickle:
And you gotta love the fact that his first post in the thread was two hours after the games ended. For his next trick, he'll tell us what the winning Powerball numbers will be on Wednesday night..... right after they're announced.

I hear you that he has played tough competition which is why I started him against Cleveland, but to lay an egg against Cleveland is just abysmal.

Is there a possibility Chris Perry struggled yesterday because, I don't know, Ryan Fitzpatrick was their starting QB? Just a thought...

Under most circumstances, it is abysmal, but I'll give him a pass due to his QB. It shoudn't shock anyone that he didn't produce with RF taking snaps. Once Palmer comes back, and plays to the level that we all know he can play at, things will open up for whichever RB is getting the carries. Even a bad to mediocre back will put up decent stats IF Palmer starts producing.

How did S Jackson do w/ 50 yr old Trent under center...??stop w/ the EXCUSES!
But there is a difference, Fitzpatrick is lucky to be in the NFL, and Trent Green has proven to be a good NFL QB when healthy. Also, Perry isn't a special back by any means, while Steven Jackson has as much talent as any... if a NFL team decides to trot out a bum QB, the offensive line/running back had better be excellent, or the production simply will not be there.

Did you just compare Chris Perry to Stephen Jackson? :goodposting: :loco:

When you have a bad offensive line, nothing you do is going to look good.

The argument here has never been that Perry is an elite RB who can overcome a situation where he's the only viable offensive threat on his team due to poor line play or QB injuries. Very few can.

What's been argued here is that he's clearly a starting caliber NFL and FF RB if he stays healthy enough and if the offense as a whole has any semblance of what it has been in the past. Nobody, even the biggest pessimists/critics that I can remember, went into this year saying that the Bengals offense would be this much of a disaster. Unfortunately they've been so bad as a group that it remains very much in doubt as just how good (or bad) Perry is.

OTOH, despite not having much in the way of running lanes, Perry has remained healthy with a good number of touches through four games. Given that that was the biggest source of doubt about him going into this season, that's not a bad development all in all.

And I think he also just compared Fitzpatrick to Green. At least Green is a former Pro Bowler for crying out loud.

Actually, he contrasted Fitzpatrick with Green. Keep up.
