Free agent Chris Simms is reportedly in talks with the Ravens.Dallas is essentially out of the running after agreeing to a handshake deal with Brooks Bollinger. Baltimore doesn't use a West Coast offense like the one Simms played in with Tampa and he'd face a learning curve there. Source: St. Petersburg Times

I actually like Chris Simms. If he can correct the blocked passes at the line of scrimmage, he could be a good NFL QB. I think he would be a better candidate to hand the ball off to Rice at least

Agree and he is probably much more ready to start the season than anything they have right now. With Simms they might be able to move the ball some thru the air.

I like him too. I gained a lot of respect for the kid when he played against the Panthers, and he played through the game with a hurt spleen. He shouldn't have done that, but his toughness and drive to get the job done impressed me.

The Ravens will host free agent Chris Simms for a formal workout on Monday. The Baltimore Sun says the team is looking at "a couple of quarterbacks," but the other names are unknown. We can guess that one is either Quinn Gray or Jared Lorenzen. The Ravens have already talked numbers with Simms. Source: Baltimore Sun

I wonder if the Packers are interested....

If Ted goes into the season with Brohm and Flynn as the only backups to an injury-prone Aaron Rodgers, he's got a lot bigger balls than I do. And he's putting his job on the line, IMHO....
