buddy of mine went to college with joe randle. played beer pong with him a couple times when he came to visit during the summer. nice guy, despite all his issues. anyhoo, I ended up with Randle in a couple leagues. didn't really want him just fell too far and had to pull the trigger. hit my buddy up to see what was going on after a lackluster first two weeks. apparently Randle was pretty pissed that they traded for CMike in the first place. said it showed a lack of confidence in him. he is a very fragile dude. wasn't nuts about the McFadden acquisition either but got over that one (he said McFadden is a ##### anyway and wouldn't be able to stay on the field). but the CMike stuff really rubbed him the wrong way, so he has been tanking and I guess the coaching staff got wind of it. long story short, it's sounding like CMike time starts this week. he was a FA in one of my leagues, I just used $69 of my $100 FAAB budget on him. waivers run at noon today, will keep u all posted.

this is absolutely huge if true.
This is either the best or the worst "insider" info I've ever seen.
What's worse is spending 69% of your FAAB on him.

I got him last night for 1%.

Two weeks into the 2015 NFL season and, hey, friendly reminder: No one knows anything!

We can definitively say a few teams (Packers, Patriots) are good and definitively say that at least one team (Bears) is terrible.

Even with Tony Romo going down, you can't count out the Cowboys, and he'll be back soon enough. The Eagles and Colts are still "top-10" teams!

Talk about your Over reactions.. Its Only been two weeks.

You mean you doubt the "buddy of mine knew him" source? I mean, why wouldn't the natural reaction to a team bringing in competition for you be to start tanking on purpose? That's what any logical person would do, right? Tank so that the people here to replace you get to replace you?

How many people posting in here actually own him?
Even with my negative posts, I own him in my deep bench league. I don't own him in the other two where I only have 5-6 bench spots and limited waiver transactions in 1 of the 2. No reason to have him on those teams.

Do you actually think this is true?? Come on, beer pong...69 dollars, 69... and what pro would actually tank if he was the starter and had competition.

Admittedly, Randle isn't the sharpest tool in the shed...

Hope this thread hits 100 pages today.
Just think, if he puts together three or four Pro Bowl seasons in a row, he might have as many yards rushing as this thread has posts.
I really like posts like this...

It makes me think of things that are unlikely but yet possible..

Can you imagine some poor sob explaining to his Wife How he lost X amt of dollars on a sure bet in a Forum response..

It would start off something like 3 or 4? Hes Only 24 yrs Old.. Or Do you have any idea how many posts there are per page.. The guy aint even active on game days yet..

I know he only had 54 career rushing attempts, but I've seen film of him from West Brook High and he is the real deal. Congrats to all who were able to roster him. Many riches coming our way.

You expect us to believe a starting RB in the NFL is currently "tanking" bc he's upset his team brought in some competition? Bull####.If anything, the reaction would be the opposite. To blow his coaches away to prove he's the guy to keep. Not severely affect his image and possible future as a RB in the league. Come the #### on.

Okay So let me get this straight.. You agree with the Tanking part, but not so sure about the reasoning>?

@HelmanDC: Re: Christine Michael, Garrett said "it's a tough deal to be a 4th RB on a 46-man roster." Says they'll handle the RB situation week by week

2/2

@HelmanDC: This is just my opinion, but my guess is Michael will have a hard time finding his way onto the 46 unless there's an injury.

This throws a bit of water on the fire.

Okay, Garrett is attempting to explain why the RB numbers are being addressed weekly. ie. Dunbar has moved into the RB2 slot We need to be flexible (might even be hinting at RB1)

Here the reporter is trying to explain.. Keep a lookout for a "sore ankle" or some injury ::wink wink:: on Sunday's report (This will mean CMike is gonna be active)

This throws a bit of water on the fire.

Ya ever threw gasoline on a fire?

I think you need to read his response again.

So your thinking that Randle is blowing the Coachs away in practice.. But, just having difficulty putting it all together on gamedays.

I guess your right.. I might need to reread it all again thank -you

Have mostly just read this quietly as I didn't have a strong opinion on Michael. Really appreciate the people posting the news they find. Also enjoy hearing people's opinions on C-Mike and his chances in Dallas.

I can do without all of the chest thumping and arguing. It's fine if someone has an opinion other than your own. Heck, I want most of my league to have opinions other than my own, else I wouldn't have been able to get the players I want.

There is rarely a view that I can't find some merit in, and acknowledge it, even if I ultimately decide another way. A well presented differing opinion is a very good thing in my book. If I don't close my mind to it, it makes me test my assumptions and beliefs. Sometimes it won't change my overall view, but sometimes it will, or at least shift it. I care a lot more about actually being right than I care about being seen as being right. If someone can give me info that helps bring me closer to the right conclusion, that's a good thing. If it changes my final view 180 degrees to the better answer, then that's a very good thing.

Seeing people defending their point to exhaustive length often makes me value their opinion less rather than more. It makes me question whether they are being objective or just falling into Say Anything mode defending a position. One of the things the internet has been great about teaching me is how often people do that.

Can't say I've never been guilty of it, but hopefully I do it less for having watched others at it. There's nothing wrong with giving your opinion and if someone else doesn't accept it, letting it go.

While I'm taking the time to write this much... if someone is actually hell bent on convincing another to accept their position, then acknowledging the merit of the other person's points is one of the very best things you can do. A lot of people will immediately divide up anyone in a conversation into two sides and not take anything said by "the other side" into account. Acknowledging the merits of other people's views does a good job of eroding that and getting others to then give what you say actual consideration.

Sorry for the hijack, but I think this stuff time and again when I read this thread.

After Cowboys practice today:

1/2

@clarencehilljr: Jerry Jones said the Cowboys need to run the ball better. But it won't be with Christian Michael. They like the current mix of Randle, DMac

2/2

@clarencehilljr: Christian Michael will likely be inactive again. Can't take four running backs to the game. They like DMac, Randle and Dunbar on 3rd downs

That's how the best writer spelled his name.

I have a colleague on the inside that has told me Randle has been nursing a strained omohyoid muscle the last three weeks after making a pretty acrobatic juke move in TC. Coaches are becoming frustrated with his slow healing time and blame his slow start on this. Apparently he is just not showing the ability to push through this injury. They are taking a closer look at CMike to see what they have in him since Randles injury looks like it could linger until the bye week when he can get a chance to rest and heal.

To the guy who says he "appreciates the news postings": what news? Very few links have been posted. It's devolved into my buddy who knows Michaels sister says Randle got a burner throwing a beer pong table at some poor OSU student while running away with stolen underwear. This thread sucks and is the lowest common denominator of the Shark Pool. It has sucked for a long time and came partially from Rotoworld's (or a Rotoworld employee) massive push to say Michael was the next big thing. I get why people like him, I really do. I've picked up Bryce Brown and Lache Seastrunk hoping their athleticism would overcome their ball security and low football IQ's this offseason. I won't say the dream is dead but this is the second team where his opportunity has been spectacular and he is inactive week in and out. Realism and perception take a long time to balance out in this hobby.

This thread is the equivalent of a high school class without a teacher for the day....they are just letting us dump whatever we want in here.

Can't believe it hasn't been locked yet!!

Hey guys.. Can we hold off on getting too philosophical? Your all realize were talking Texas right? Steers and such,,

Im sure some of the guys appreciate you all taking the time to post.. But I don't see much humor It doesn't sound all too insightful for the most part..

Now do you own CMike Or hoping to bring the price down?

I'm not really picking up on what you are talking about.

Anyways, Im really trying to drive down the price. His owner in my league offered him to me for Travis Kelce! Offered him for Green to another owner in my league. I almost pulled the trigger but I'm hoping to maybe get something else thrown into the deal.

We should get a competition... Everyone in the thread guesses CM's final stat line (rushes/yards/RuTDs/Receptions/ReYards/ReTDs)... Closest to totals takes all.

275/1595/14

28/345/3

This is irrelevant. It's a weekly game. If he's the starter a month from now, he could be an asset.

If you have room on your bench, stash him.

Jesus FC. Have you seen him play? You're way low on those. The 'Boys can't throw, Randle is tanking on purpose, DMC is going to be hurt by the time the leaves fall, and Dunbar isn't an RB anyway. Michael might have 12 games as the starter, and he can get WAY more stats than that over 12 games.

I heard he is starting this weekend from my plumber, he said he is from Fort Worth
