This is the same coach who was OC in 2004 when Quentin Griffen was the top ADP RB in DEN and in 2005 when Tatum Bell was the top ADP RB in DEN, right? He's the same coach who was OC when Terrell Davis was an afterthought entering the 1995 preseason, right? The same guy who was HC in HOU in 2009 when Steve Slaton was being drafted as a top 10 FF RB and a guy named Arian Foster was added to the roster as an UDFA?
Just checking...
.
Yes, to answer your question this is the same coach who coached those RBs that were overhyped on fantasy football forums in years past. Turns out the coach knows way more than us when it comes to RB evaluation. Probably best to forego the fantasy forum speculation and
trust the coach's talent evaluation instead, right? That being the case, things are looking great for CJ Anderson, because Gary Kubiak himself is really impressed by Anderdon, not just us idiots on fantasy forums pretending to be football talent scouts.
Like when he says that Ball has had a great off-season, Hillman has had a really good off-season, but only mentions that Anderson has "worked extremely hard.....deserves the OPPORTUNITY based off of last year, but is being pushed very hard?" The coach, whose talent evalutation you say we should trust singles out Ball as having a "great" off-season, Hillman as having a "really good" off-season, and Anderson as being a hard worker who deserves the CHANCE to be the #1 RB but who is being "pushed very hard."

Exactly. Anderson's being pushed by Ball, which means Anderson is the starter, ahead of Ball.
Actually, Anderson is getting a chance to be the starter, and is working hard, but Ball has been great this offseason, if you want to accurately convey the context of the quote.
Well, if we're trying to be accurate, Kubiak said Anderson deserves the opportunity to be the starter and is working extremely hard. Ball has had a great offseason, and Hillman a really good offseason. You pretend to want to convey Kubiaks message accurately then go on to change "Anderson deserves the opportunity" to "Anderson's getting a chance". You also imply that in the same sentence Kubiak said "But Ball has been great". In reality Kubiak said separately, with no but, and not in direct reference to Anderson's opportunity to start, "Ball has had a great offseason". Using your definition of conveying the message accurately, you could've said "Anderson is getting a chance to be the starter, and is working hard, but Hillman has looked really good." You just inserted Ball instead of Hillman because you want it to hype Ball.
Opportunity=Chance; they are synonyms. HTH.You are trying to spin this (as you did with earlier info) as some kind of endorsement or praise of Anderson; it isn't. It's essentially what I've been saying: Anderson is the #1 RB now, but he doesn't have as much security as the top RBs. Kubiak says he deserves the chance to be the starter, but he's being pushed hard by Ball and Hillman. You want to wear blinders, shove yur head in the sand, and cry "Anderson is going to be a stud, no ifs, ands, or buts," and claim to be some expert at interpreting "coach speak," but it looks like your just being a typical FF owner, hyping a guys he owns & ignoring ANY information that you don't like reading/hearing.
Actually, I explained in detail above precisely how YOU are the one doing the spinning here. YOU are altering the words, phrases, and context of Kubiak's comments, not me. I don't need to spin anything because things are looking pretty darn good for CJ Anderson right now. You're obviously trying to find any glimpse of hope, any inkling of an indication that Anderson is losing the starting job to Ball. So instead of taking the coaches word at face value, you spin them in a way that gives the impression you want it to give. Go back and read it again. All I did was point out and correct YOUR spin by quoting what Kubiak actually said. I have no need to spin anything. I am a CJ Anderson dynasty owner. I'm psyched that Kubiak is on record saying the starting job is his to lose. Why would I need to spin that? I'm fully aware that Ball is motivated and is having a great offseason. So is Anderson by all accounts. That's fine by me. I hope Ball is a very good RB this year because I think it pushes Anderson to be even better, and helps the team which helps Anderson. I have no idea how the carries will be divided. I do know Kubiak has mentioned wanting a workhorse and a three down back. He has also mentioned that Anderson possesses the qualities to be that guy. Kubiak said that. I don't have to spin it. The only people that need to spin anything right now are Montee Ball owners such as yourself, trying to convince yourself that Ball is overtaking Anderson. Maybe Ball will steal the job from Anderson. I fully accept that as a possibility. But there's just no evidence of that at this point, and I don't expect that to happen. I don't know why you keep going back to this thing about Anderson's job security vs that of other RBs around the league. If he plays like he did last year I imagine his job will be very secure. If he struggles and Ball outplays him than his job will be much less secure. I'm fine with that because I don't expect Anderson to struggle. Again, what exactly do I as an Anderson owner need to spin? Everything has been positive for Anderson lately. Kubiak's comments, Mannings comments, even Ball's comments. What you're doing is taking any positive comment about Ball and spinning it as a negative about Anderson. The fact is, by all accounts Anderson and Ball both look good. If they both continue on the path they're on, based on Kubiak's comments so far we can only assume Anderson will enter the season as the #1 RB in Denver and should be in line for a great season. That doesn't mean your boy Montee Ball isn't a good player, it just means there's a better player in his way right now. If Anderson does hold onto the starting job I'm sure Ball will be used as well. I'm not going to try and predict precisely how many carries he'll get. All I can do is assume that based on Kubiaks comments about wanting a workhorse 3 down type back, the starting RB will get significantly more work than the #2 RB(or 1B if it makes you feel better).
You're coming across like a spiteful, envious Montee Ball owner getting her panties in a bunch because CJ Anderson owners are confident in his ability and situation.
