What is was really hoping for was that at crunch time they used one of them exclusively. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Obviously Hillman looked better today but he would still be tough to start considering how evenly they are splitting carries.

 
DEN needs to announce an injury to CJ to justify HIllman getting starts for a few games and 25+ touches

See if that works and if it does? change needed - Hillman has looked better for 12 weeks

This. I recall at least two particular instances of big holes for CJ to rip-off some good yardage today. Both times, he showed no burst nor elusiveness and was taken down by the first defender that got to him.

I know, he does seem to go down very easily. This is basically 4 weeks in a row that Hillman has outplayed him. But they still keep it at a 50/50 split. I don't know if that is going to change.

Looked to me like a great wrap up. I just don't see anything separating CJ and Hillman beyond Hillman getting good blocking and CJ not.

I traded CJA after week 1 for Spiller, Martavis Bryant, and Christine Michael. Some what of a panic deal and I had higher hopes for Spiller who has been as big of a dud as Anderson outside of 1 play. But I'll still take my side of the deal at this point even though I still thnk CJA's season is salvageable to a degree.

I paid $44 for him in my auction redraft while spending $1 for DJ. If CJA was offered back to me for DJ straight up I'd have to think long and hard about it. And likely decline.

More touches for Hillman likely means 1 or 2. I don't see things changing much even with the coaches saying this. If they try to feed Hillman anything close to a full load he's not going to last long at all.

 
Hillman looks way better but we know CJ has a toe injury.

I'm a dynasty owner trying to stay patient. It's a risky buy right now but it could pay pff if he can stay healthy.

Toe and ankle or worse. Maybe something similar to Ellington last year. It will probably come out after the season. But they know that can't fully go to Hillman because he will eventually fumble the job away or get hurt or both and CJ is still the man in pass pro.

 
Yep, it's one of those things that's going to come out after the season. I think it's like AJ Green's injury last year - really limited him but since he could still take the field his stats just took a hit and he played more decoy. It made his value decline quite a bit in some circles, but this year he is right back to full value.

CJ is only 24... though he is hurt/dinged frequently. I think it's going to be tough for him to shine this year but a bounceback if healthy next year seems likely as well.

This is funny.. I was actually thinking the same thing - I think the best thing for CJ owners is to give Hillman all of the work & see if he can handle it without getting hurt. He looked good last year but got hurt & CJ then took over..

Kubiak said he will split the workload equally after Hillman's early-season performance.

"I think of them both as starters, to be honest with you," Kubiak said earlier this week. "I know that somebody has to walk out there on play No. 1, but they're both going to play and will probably play right down the middle."

The frustration might mount for Anderson, but if he continues to struggle, he'll keep losing his share of the snaps.

People said the same thing about Tevin Coleman. Coincidentally, or not so, they're both injury prone guys, but highly effective speedsters when they do play.

do you mean that one time last year? because I think there as that 5 game stretch where he had between 10-25 carries a week and then got hurt. other than that, he's been a COP RB mostly due to an inability to pass pro and a general ineffectiveness running the ball. that's a pretty small sample size to extrapolate into an injury risk trend.

I agonised over which one of the two to start today ( Ivory on bye, Williams out ), in the end it didn't matter. I think one got 2.6 and the other 4.0 in my scoring. Thankfully won anyway. LOL what to do with this mess.

 
Fantasy RB wasteland, but Denver is 5-0. And that includes a "meh" Manning.

Both are rosterable, but not startable till further notice.

 
I like how Rotoworld just described CJA as an RB2/Flex against Cleveland next week, yet RW constantly referred to Moreno as an RB2 when he was kicking butt two years ago. Moreno's 2013 stats blew away 2015 CJA.

Yeah, the blurb made me laugh. The fact is CJ is just barely a RB5 in standard/PPR and is technically not worth the roster space IMO.

Lot of meat on the bone, when facing the Browns. LOT of meat on the bone. If you can't break out against the Browns, you aren't any good...
