CLE QB Colt McCoy with high ankle sprain (1 Viewer)

hmm...i have jerome harrison and kinda got excited reading the subject title. i'm sure that's what the op intended.

If they snapped it to him in the shotgun and his feet were almost glued to the ground, he'd still be better than Delhomme

Call down, children. I'm sure it was unintentional. Though we all regret and mourn the three seconds you thought Lesean McCoy was hurt. It must be a rough life.

Back to the thread, so who is QBing the Browns now? Article says leaning toward Delhomme?

terrible thread title

doubt its accidental either, how many fantasy teams are riding Colt McCoy?

Too bad for COLT McCoy. Kid looks to be adjusting well to the NFL. Every gametime snap is important in his development. Hope for COLT McCoy and the Browns that COLT McCoy heals up quick. Delhomme proved again in 2010 that he is as bad as we thought he was.

Sad part is both "Statue" McCoy and Delhomme are better than what Carolina has.Who would have guessed the Panthers would actually miss Delhomme?

I agree. This is a football site and Colt is one of a few up-and-coming rookies. He's probably not starting in fantasy leagues, but it affects Hillis, who starts in almost every league. I'm also annoyed when there's a thread about an obscure person with a "fantasy last name" but this sounds legit and unintentional to me. Regarding the fantasy impact, I think they'll lean even more on Hillis because of Jake's ability to melt down. Hillis already catches plenty but I think we'll see even more screens as Jake checks down to avoid any mistakes. This is a winnable game for Cleveland, and they don't want Delhomme throwing it away (literally).

Long-term, this experience is great for McCoy so it's a shame he'll miss time. Considering how close they've been in so many games they're not far from respectability. This would be a great year to get him in games and come out firing next year (like Tampa Bay did with Freeman).

Why the statue nickname, from what I have seen he looks pretty mobile?
I was referencing Bri's post about having his feet glued to the ground. When not dealing with a high ankle sprain, McCoy's mobility is pretty good.

And this means Jake Delhomme will be facing the Panthers on Sunday.Oh dear.
I have absolutely no skin in this game, but I don't think this one factor can be overlooked.Jake Delhomme spent 7 seasons at Carolina, QB'd Carolina to the Super Bowl in 2003 (throwing 3 TDs), and had some pretty good years there before being unceremoniously released in the offseason. He knows the defensive scheme. He is healthy. He is fresh. And Carolina is playing for pride.Anyone who thinks that Delhomme is not going into this one single game with a chip on his shoulder looking to prove a point is going to miss a career statement game. Maybe he still has something in the tank, maybe not. But you will get a the best performance out of Delhomme this week that he is capable of.
