Yea but what's the asking price.I know it's not their style, and it will never happen, but they really need to call the Brewers about Lucroy. These catchers are atrocious.
Also, Smyly is unbelievable.

Supposedly through the roof, which is why he's still a Brewer. He's also only controlled through this year with a team option for 2017. At some point there needs to be some kind of go for it mentality though. Conger can barely throw the ball back to the pitcher.Yea but what's the asking price.

Yea I thought I had read that it would take somebody of Snell's caliber. That's a no-go for me, but there are plenty of B+ pitching prospects I would be ok moving for him. Jennings is just awful. Guyer has been a better player for 2 years now. Why are they burying him for this guy? It's hard for smart guys to admit when they're wrong.
Pearce with more RBI today (1) than Morrison has had all year. He was also on base 3 times compared to Morrison's 5 all season. I'm biased, but it's ridiculous that this clown keeps playing every day. Pearce will hit and get on base consistently if given the opportunity. I know they don't want to give up on their platoon plan this early, but Morrison looks absolutely lost.
I think Guyer is a much better defensive player than Jennings. Not sure if the data supports that.Defense?![]()
For some unknown reason they won't let any righties face righties other than Longoria, Jennings, Forsythe, and Souza. They finally let Pearce face Gausman the other night, who was throwing 99, and he got on base twice. Then they bench him the next day.
Doesn't seem right at all does it?They lead the league in homers? Wtf
Seems like it's that time of the year where I make my "this could be a fun summer!" post right before they go on an 8-20 run.Doesn't seem right at all does it?
Right on cue.Seems like it's that time of the year where I make my "this could be a fun summer!" post right before they go on an 8-20 run.
Every time I watch Tim Beckham play I think about what could have been with Buster.
I wonder what Houston thinks when they look over at Luis Valbuena and realize it could have been Kris Bryant.Every time I watch Tim Beckham play I think about what could have been with Buster.
Same as the tees...neither us or New Era made them. Teams have the ability to use a local company for give-aways.Gump what's the word on the Orlando Rays hats. People are losing their #### trying to get one.
(I have one from 2002)
Ahhh ok. Wonder if they are going to mass produce them to sell.Same as the tees...neither us or New Era made them. Teams have the ability to use a local company for give-aways.
We are doing a Majestic tee for them that will ship in the next few days with the official RAYS wordmark and rainbow fill (I think it's still on).
I was living in St Pete when they opened. Probably half the mortgage office I worked in went down to the opening day game when Boggs was playing and they were the Devil Rays, still have the original logo cap. 2008 looked like it was going to be special, consistent hitting has been the weakness seems like forever. I'm not surprised Maddon was able to simply turn the key in Chicago. When he left the Rays I knew it was going to be a long road ahead. This franchise is pretty much bottoming out. Doesn't seem like that long ago it was enviable and one of the best in pro sports.
Hey remember when ownership didn't think Maddon was worth that extra 2 mil per year? That worked out great.
Just blow it up and tank until there's a new stadium. Trade anyone another franchise will take.Rays system is pretty bare of elite talent. Lots of B+ type of hitters in there but no future studs. Plenty of arms though.
I don't really blame the fans. The location sucks, the trop sucks and baseball live is boring as ####. Look how great the Lightning are supported. Every ticket sold.
Yea bet he has a great shot of winning that one.Longo will be in the Fan Vote for the final AL spot.
They're going to wear 'Vote for Longo' tees this week...but yea, no chance.Yea bet he has a great shot of winning that one.
So what's the plan for next year? There isn't any mlb talent at AAA except maybe Gillapsie but he's 2018. There is some talent at AA.Sneaky brutal baseball team.
Very Rays-esque. Seemingly doubling down on the dingers and pitching strategy from last year.Colby Rasmus :X
