Continuous Rays thread: fun season (2 Viewers)

Wendle starting the game with a dinger. Very nice. Marlins might have good pitching, but the Rays have the offense.

Did they shorten the fences?!
I think they did but even still I was shocked at how the ball flew out of there. That was insane. Kind of boring to watch too, before game 5? I’m not baseball a purist but “hit ball far mash good” gets boring after a while. How many runs did the yanks score that weren’t on a homer?

Freakin Altuve. Great to see a win a last night. The game didn’t start out great, but happy to see the Rays’ resilience.

Situational hitting......not good. Having maybe the fastest player in baseball on first with nobody out and your best hitters coming up with a tied game in the 9th and not even getting close to getting him in is really rough. Feels like they have to change their approach in those situations. This isn’t July against the Orioles.

Didn't want to jinx them before they got to WS, my son and I went to a lot of Rays games last season including these same Houston Astros and we WON Games 3 and 4 a home last year, lots of pictures, one of the best times of my life.

That said these last 3-4 days have been excruciating.

-I am so happy for Tampa Bay but specifically St Pete where the Rays actually play and I just love downtown St Pete, happy for everyone there and wish i could buy a ticket to see the Rays with my boy at the Trop, but it is what it is.

Go Rays Go Rays Go Rays!!!

I will be at the infamous Ferg's in Downtown on Wednesday Night...this is all coming together as I am typing this but that should be Game 1 or Game 2 perhaps? Anyways I will be buying lots of drinks so if anyone wants to meet or is going I would be happy to meet up and party.

Game 2. I won’t be there but should be an awesome atmosphere. Enjoy! Go Rays!!

You might want to reconsider this unless you’re not planning on eating anything whatsoever. Ferg’s is one of the dirtiest places in St. Pete.

Guess you've never been to Angelo's Pizza across from the Courthouse 😂

We'll go eat at Stillwater before we down Drafts at Ferg's.

For anyone that has not seen the new Pier and the top section looking back at Downtown St Pete, it's breathtaking.

Good choice. One of my favorites.

I remember when they made the Randy trade last off-season I thought well we won’t know how that trade works out for 4-5 years (I was high on Liberatore). Randy could never get another hit again after these playoffs and that trade was an overwhelming success.

In complete shock right now, no other way to describe this feeling when a team you know has no earthly business doing what they are doing and after such a disappointment with Morton last game to be able to play a classic tonight and set up a tug of war for Game 5, this is more than most Rays fans could have ever hoped for. My son was almost in tears tonight when the Bottom of the 9th unfolded like it did, again I'm speechless tonight.

The kid Phillips went to Seminole High which is 3 blocks from where my son grew up and actually is living presently, little sub of St Pete. Last guy on the bench, of all the folks to have that hit in that game in that inning in that situation, the goose bumps are just unreal right now. I was accepting that the Rays might go down quickly but this changes everything for the Final 3 Games. Incredible for the players involved, all of them. You couldn't possibly be anything other than proud of that Baseball Team right now. What a night for the organization and the fan base.
