Good post.funny how everyone said Gruden won with Dungys guys, but no one ever says BB won with Parcells' guys....And Coughlin didnt need to cheat to win..which apparently BB does, being 0-2 in SB's since spygate...

I actually have a ton of respect for coughlin and the giants, and I have all along.

I say Belichick's better because I'm looking at his entire career, not just the two games in the SB. Coughlin has done a great job, masterful actually the years the Giants made their runs. I just think Belichick's the master at getting the most out of his players. I think he's the best in the league at it and probably 2nd to Lombardi in that area. Not to say Coughlin didn't get the most out of his team down the stretch this year. I'm not slighting Coughlin, he's one if the most underrated coaches in the league, but I think Belichick is the greatest coach in his era and he's proved it with his consistency. He's been in 8 SBs as coach or head coach, that's no accident.

Look at what Coughlin did with Jacksonville. Then look at what he did with the Giants. He's insanely underrated as a coach.

Brady himself tonight credited Belichik with his own success. You can't just say that Belichik is riding on the coattails of Brady. Belichik is a widely respected coach who has a ton of success and his team still performed at a high level when Brady was lost for the season due to injury.But, haters gotta hate, I guess.

I am sure that there are others (like his protoge's) who have cheated or tried to cheat, but don't have his success. Notice how nobody is talking up the Giants "dynasty" even they won two of the last 5 games. They are considered the lil guys that could. The Patriots during their run had a number of #1 seed teams and were generally the bullies on the block. The Giants? Always in the mix, but never a clear frontrunner even in their own division. The only reasonable explanation is BB has mad talent. Objectively, you have to give BB his due. Like him or hate him. Post Parcells era, he is THE coach of his generation. And if you took a serious poll and weeded out the haters, this wouldn't be close.
