*CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM* (1 Viewer)

The bit where Larry and Leon describe what they've done while constipated is an instant classic.
Forgot to rewind to relisten, but could swear Leon said he 'ran a 5K marathon while constipated'. :lmao:

Leon answering the phone for the first time with "Larry David's office, what the ***K you want?"  :lmao:

Leon not knowing how to transfer a call to Larry and Larry having to walk over to the phone to talked to a panicked Jeff. :lmao:

2nd episode definitely curbed my enthusiasm for the rest of the season.  That terrible pun was better than the episode

couple lols, but the first episode was better. cookie/tong shtick, meh...nephew/hooker was meh, pickle jar hero was decent, because it's true

I liked Ted getting Larry's ex, and Ted's ex turning Larry down because she wasn't attracted to him physically only for Larry to see her later with a dude that looks just like him, that was funny.

I loved how Larry jumps right to saying that Cheryl doesn't give BJ's.

I don't think JB Smoov knew there was an opened jar of pickles in the fridge. It almost looked like he was holding back laughing when he Larry told him and he found it.

Curb is my favorite show ever. But this was a really weak episode. Maybe the worst episode ever. I liked the first episode. But I hope 2 isn't a sign of what we are in for this season.

I would concur with this. Episode 2 had me scratching my head a few times. When he was following Ted and Cheryl why go back for the pickle jar? And the towels with the bodyguard? Lame.

I did laugh a couple of times about going left handed...and the Funk is great!

Because everyone wants to be a pickle jar hero.

And about the towels, he likes to argue with people about the most inane things. That's Larry

I agree the bodyguard thing is dumb and I hope they're done with him.  In fact I think the whole fatwa thing has run it's course.

I also think that a little Leon goes a long way.   He is great for a few one liners but beyond that is too much IMO.

:tfp:

It all just seems very forced to me, where it used to be more organic. I used to laugh and cringe and be surprised. Now it's just "eh" (said in my best Larry impersonation)

Have a lot of catching up to do. Girlfriend and I started recently and are up to season 4 now. Pretty damn funny.

second one was ok.  but weaker than the first for sure.  lets hope the third gives us something more.  i agree that i am really hoping this is not a sign of future episodes.

I've enjoyed both so far but they haven't been great. It's been a long hiatus so hopefully they improve as the season goes along.

In just glad the characters are back on my TV. Yeah this season is kinda weak for Curb standards but it's still fun to watch, and there's been a few signature awkward moments and great lines sprinkled throughout. I'll enjoy the final ride.

So I've been watching on my Kodi and the third episode I watched yesterday was with Brian Cranston as Larry's therapist which sounds different than what aired on HBO last night.

I think 5 years away really built up people's expectations.

everyone's different I guess, I thought week 1 was bad and this week was great
Ep 2 was an instant classic. My name is chappie Johnson and I can't open this damn pickle jar was as funny as anything in the series. followed by the lobby manager hurriedly placing his call on hold to get in there. Gold.

yea I liked the cookie thongs and the pickle jar bits, I could relate to those things.  Plus the episode had just the right amount of Leon screen time.

This week needed more Leon, the blonde chick was pretty funny though talking about her cat.

I thought it was another lackluster effort. Still very enjoyable because I just love the show, but it would be in the bottom 10nth of all Curb episodes ever.

Larry and Super Dave lamenting the inability to wank with their left hand was good, but overall the episode and season seems unfocused.

I have heard that Jeff Garlin was known for his behind-the-scenes work on the show. He had a good sense of what worked, what didn't, had a keen eye for structuring the show.

I wonder if he is so occupied with his network show that he didn't have the time to contribute as he did in season's past. Even his acting part seems limited this season.

The Cranston episode is upcoming this week on HBO, but it was screened for critics a few weeks ago and probably how it's already made its way online.

Good show to watch after 11pm when the wife has gone to bed and I have a slew of work emails to catch up on. It's kind of like profane background music at this point. It's now just a good show, has fun characters, has a formula that generally works, but only JB Smoov makes me stop to pay full attention to whatever profanity laced hilarity comes out of his mouth.

Still worth watching compared to loads of other garbage on late night TV but not the ground breaker it used to be.

Pretty much all of this.

The show isn't great anymore. But like a Police reunion tour, I'm down for the nostalgia.

The cop not having an issue with Larry in the disguise while looking at his drivers license was lame. I was expecting something to come of  that, but nothing.

Curb is a show I can never really complain about, but this season feels off to me because they are just putting way too much stuff into each episode. As an example, I bet if they casted a nobody in the role of Damon Wayans' kid as the cop, the cop would have appeared just for that initial scene that got Larry the ticket, and the sensitive beeping of the horn would have come around in typical Curb fashion at the end like it did with Ted. Instead Wayans shows up in like 4 more scenes and everything felt super packed and dragged.

Just IMO.

Honest question, what can come of that? Can you be charged with something for wearing a wig, mustache, and glasses?

Nothing illegal.

I was expecting that to be the time he takes it off to show he's in disguise but then Banks would happen to be driving by and in classic curb form Larry would have been outed as not dangerous and hiding.  Something to that affect, not just a nothing scene though.

Eta, my timeline might be off on that but the point was they could have made that scene better

considering he didn't even meet her yet that wouldn't have made any sense
