Dozens. The media! What's not their fault? They speak out but it doesn't get any mainstream coverage. After some episode or another I posted dozens of quotes from Muslim leaders condemning whatever happened. None of those quotes ever appeared in the mainstream media. But the handful of losers marching in support of the terrorist activities got lots of press.I don't know where these numbers come from but I'll agree with this
If you say 40% of Germans in 1940 supported the Nazi agenda, I'd be inclined to believe you
If you say 5-10% of Muslims support the actions of violent Muslim extremists, I'd be inclined to believe that too
But that's not what the gif says
I also think 5-10% of self-identified Christians in the US would support the actions of someone like Eric R Rudolph
The current problem within Islam is that not enough of the right people speak out against hate-laced religious rhetoric, which is prevalent in too many Middle Eastern congregations. Some do, sure, and good on them. But as long as it's officially endorsed in places like Saudi Arabia, our political ally and the "epicenter" of the Muslim religion, there won't be much ground to gain.
There are ways to make this point without the sensationalist Nazi invocations. The overall threat to the western world is apples vs oranges.
I'm not talking about condemnation of any specific acts, I'm talking about what societies are teaching their children about the world around them.
