Dayne/Walker (1 Viewer)

Per Roto:

Darius Walker will start on Thursday night.

With Ron Dayne active, any upside Walker would have as a fantasy play is limited because Dayne is such an effective short-yardage back. Desperate owners could consider using Walker as a flex in points-per-reception leagues.

Ron Dayne is active Thursday night, but undrafted rookie Darius Walker will start at running back for the Texans.

Dayne has been nursing an ankle injury. This news makes both extremely risky plays, even though either could have a big game against Denver's porous run defense. But with Dayne up, Walker is unlikely to get goal-line chances. Walker should dominate any passing game work, but which back will end up with the most playing time overall is anyone's guess.

Which back do ya put ya hopes with if ya had to pick one?

*NFL Network announced Houston going with the youth @ RB for what this is worth

Im going with Walker.

Just think he has the upside and Dayne is more of a precaution than anything else.

They were not happy with his injury all week from what I read.

Ugh. I think I will roll the dice with Walker in a PPR. My other options aren't great for flex: Gado, Fred Jackson, Bowe.

I'm starting Walker in my semis in place of MJD.

Jones-Drew is facing PITT and hasn't exactly been tearing it up lately....At least the game will be interesting for me tonight.

I either gamble on Walker getting enough catches in a PPR league, or I gamble on Santonio Holmes being healthy and effective. I am really torn at this point.

I am in exactly the same situation. I'm leaning toward Walker since Pitt is playing in bad weather and Roth's been nursing a bad shoulder.

:goodposting: More to think about - RBBC:Earlier this week -
Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said on Monday that the team is planning to start a tandem of RB Darius Walker and RB Adimchinobi Echemandu during the team's Week 15 game while RB Ron Dayne continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Good call on the weather. I am already forced to start Garrard, and I obviously do not want two of my players playing in a likely downpour. But that still doesn't make me feel good about this Walker situation. Fortunately I am in a PPR league.Nate Burelson instead? This sucks... At least I have Tomlinson and Owens.

Starting Walker over Stecker ... With Stecker I have to worry about Pierre Thomas and Arz is tough against the run so why not. That fat ******* Dayne has continued to torment me since the day he was drafted so I 'm sure he'll start and roll his fat ### into the endzone 1 or 2 times.

The good news is Walker was six for six (targets/receptions) last week, so at least it appears he can catch. I'd go Walker over Burleson. I too have Tomlinson (and Romo).

Nobody cares. :loco:

I'm starting Walker over K. Smith, Turner, Bush, and Ronnie Brown. I hope he gets off to a fast start and I'm glad it is a ppr league.

Ah, Peens, I'll always know you do.

Made the call - going with WALKER over K. SMITH - and SAGE over ELI.

Wow - if you told me on draft day that I'd be starting these trolls come playoffs, I'd have #$%& myself

I am going with Walker. So hopefully he can catch five or six passes, maybe get me a touchdown. I definitely am not feeling good about this.

It started when the Giants drafted him and he hasn't stopped sinceHad the fat ******* on my team all season ... Couldn't wait to start him against Denver. I figured haha he is going to carry me to a championship just like he did for my arch rival last year. I start him last week to get him ready for the big run at the championship (The game din't matter to me) he falls flat on his fat face. But wait ... Fatty get's injured before his great matchup for the first round of my playoffs. No problem now I can't start him so I start his backup with a great matchup. But noooooooooooo!!!! Fatty makes a remarkable comeback

Fattys in ...we're all screwed!
That tubby putz has been screwing me since his rookie year. I took him this year LATE in a scoring only league. He's managed to be in my line up every week he's scored but tonight...I sat him. I hate him.

Thanks to my daughter being a bit sick. Didn't get to my lineup in time to switch out Dayne for Walker  Hope is still alive despite me being an equal leveled putz to tubby himself!

It sounds like for a late pick he's delivered well this year. Why blame him when you are the one who didn't start him?
