DeAngelo Says TO Spit (1 Viewer)

Not sure if this has been posted but if anyone was worrying TO will NOT be suspended but he has been fined $35k.
I don't know about worried, but there's at least one person here that was hoping he would be suspended. Apparently the rest of us are as off base as the NFL commissioner.

What would you do if someone spit in your face?

I would just give him the stink palm when he tried to shake my hand.

Well, I believe the league missed the boat on this one. These guys have so much money, 35,000 to them isn't much, he'll never miss that money.

Terell Owens for spitting at another person on top of all the crap he's ever done in the NFL should have been suspeneded for next week's game.

The Cowboy's play host to Philadelphia on Monday Night. This would have been the perfect time for them to say.....T.O., you're out. You're actions are absolutely ridiculous and it own't be permitted. You won't be able to play vs. the Eagles on a Monday night game.

That would have hurt him, to miss this game on the biggest night of the week vs. his old team. Again, they missed it, 35000 doesn't mean anything to him.

Yeah, but he would've appealed the suspension, played in Week 16 against the Iggles, and then sat down for the Week 17 game. So, it really wouldn't have mattered. And, frankly, as much as I can't stand the guy and wish he'd just go away and not represent the Cowboys, I don't think a suspension would've been appropriate. No precedent had been set for it. The league virtually doubled the fine they gave Taylor, which given (a) his salary and (b) Goodell wanting to pull in the reigns on this sort of thing, both seem warranted. But, a suspension would've just been because "he's TO." The league will likely get together and meet in the offseason to construct suspension guidelines for "spitting" incidents for next year and years to follow.
