Check out the highlites tonite on his TD. Looks like Barry Sanders was reincarnated with power and Freeney's spin move.

amazing run. DeAngleo is being treated just like the way Priest was after his first huge year. There were still people who doubted. Not sure why. And I wish most of the guys posting in this thread (Omally and Bass-N-Brew) liked Dallas instead of the Panthers. It would just be a lot easier to carry over from football to basketball season.

Most of the duke fans around here are Cowboy, Yankee, and Notre Dame fans.

Pennington should keep his job.

I think I have a better shot at the Power Ball lottery then picking the leading Carolina receiving TE.

Fixed that for you.

Lex Hilliard with a 40 yard TD run. Great lead block by Donald Thomas, who has been a beast at Guard. The Dolphins OL has done a great job run-blocking today.

I'm glad that people are overlooking him. Nabbing him in all my drafts at the end of round 1.
Got him at the 11 spot today.
You should be in jail. :X
I snared him at the 2.08 in Ultimate Survivor and at the 2.05 in the FIX Redraft with all FBG including 2 prominent staffers...I own him in Dynasty, the best part of being a DeAngelo fan is that its still easy to lock him up. Did Stewart even play tonight? No, and not getting reps he is just going to be ready to go week 1? I'm not doubting Stewart and his unique abilities...in many ways he is a perfect compliment to DWill but enough of this idea that DWill can't be top5 again this year because he can and Carolina won't be blowing teams out and running the ball out in the 4th quarter that often this year. I expect DWill to be the guy on the field when they are in tight games and especially when the games count most in the 4th quarter.

Just like Priest, having a road-grader OLine has nothing to do with William's success. You know, the one that finally gelled mid-season last year and coincided with Williams blowing it up.

Any update on the Beason knee injury?

(Rotoworld) Panthers LB Jon Beason left Saturday's game with a knee injury and is considered doubtful to return.

These posts are good to see. It feels like only yesterday in the Fix redraft last year that I snagged Dwill and you were doing "cartwheels" that you snagged Stewy... just bustin ballz... You are 100% right on DWill this year, I just couldn't pass up Forte/Calvin in this year's FIX.

Yes, but his BMI and 40 speed at the combines before he was drafted are far inferior to Stewart and SJAX.....who deserve to go MUCH higher than DWill :)

No doubt Williams is a great RB, but i dont care how good he is, Stewart will get enough carries to scare me out of taking him as my #1 back. The Panthers are a playoff team, and they are gong to do their best to keep Williams fresh through the season. I think it is also likely that Stewart gets a good % of the goalline carries. Too bad the Panthers drafted Stewart last year, it sure would be nice to have those guys on different teams.

i took him at 19. just missed him at 20. took him at 14.

am pissed i passed on him at 12 for slaton a couple weeks ago. so it goes.

no question. That O-line may be the best Line in the league for run-blocking ability.I bet I could get 1000 yards running behind that line and I barely have any talent.

Last night when Williams broke off that 25 yard TD run, Otah was not in the game.

And he broke about 5 tackles, 3 of which were guys who had him dead in the water. The guy is amazing.

That's impossible. All you hear from Stewart lovers and Williams haters is that Williams does not break tackles. You must be mistaken and it must have been Stewart that you saw.

I traded away my 1st round pick in my keeper league for him. Last night's performance plus Stewart's injury are making me very very happy.

Wait a minute, remind me again... was that a preseason game, or a real game? I'm not denying his talent, I'm just not necesarily expecting a repeat of last year unless the OL steps it up even more against a tougher schedule this year. And Stewart stays limited all season. And Goodson is not as good as advertised. And Smith doesn't get tackled an inordinate number of times at the 1 yard line. That being said, I'm still considering him at #6.

I know in preseason games the defense never tries to tackle the ball carrier. It's two hand touch. Disregard Williams awesome TD run and disregard the previous season. Carry on.

Also of note, Dante Rosario took out Channing Crowder after DWill bounced out of Ferguson's paws, and while Rosario was taking Crowder out he also knokced out #51(sorry don't know the name off the top), and then it looked like an arm tackle attempt from the Safety and then Vontae Davis eating dust while DWill runs it in.

Here is the run in question.

On the one hand, it was so painful to watch as a Dolphin fan. But on the other, I just had to sit back and admire how incredible of a run that was.
