Democratic Debate (1 Viewer)

In her last statement, Hillary made the best argument yet that I have heard for continuing to try to take out Assad at the same time that we are fighting ISIS: because Assad is creating terrorists through his assault on the Syrian people, and because if the United States doesn't lead, there is a vacuum. I can get behind that. But I'm still not sure it's the best policy. Very confusing.
She has a lot of balls talking about creating a vacuum in the world - given that she has supported enough bad policies in the middle east to create a Hoover factory.

One thing you can't argue about: Hillary has balls! :P

I am the biggest Bernie fan around, but I think O'Malley is more like Sanders then Clinton. I would vote for him over Clinton if Bernie wasn't available. He seems to be more in line with my thoughts on the issues.

Well see Bernie, that's not a good thing. Wall Street and corporate America should like the President. That's why I don't support you.

The $5,000 tax deduction is basically a subsidy right?

Most of us who were initially opposed to Obamacare predicted that eventually the government would propose subsidies to pay for it. There simply is no other way to keep it going.

Oh, BS. We heard the $2500 a year savings crap already. Now Sanders is saying the same thing. :bs:
Yeah, but he wants single payer.
And the whole "savings" shtick is still :bs:

At least say you're going to tax us into oblivion instead of blowing the "you're going to save THOUSANDS" smoke up our asses.
Taxes go up - insurance premiums go away.

Employees' take-home pay goes up.
How do you get more take home pay if your taxes go up? Help me out because we already pay high taxes.

which you make up for in taxes.

Bernie is simply unrealistic here. He can't possibly afford to pay for everybody to go to college. He can't tax Wall Street nearly enough (and if he does, he kills middle class IRAs). Bernie wants to change America's entire system- it just won't work.

If everyone goes to college it also degrades the value of those degrees.
