Denver at Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

Wentz and PHI look like such a well oiled machine on offense. Fun team to watch.

Broncs look better in their first series than in their second, where they get backed deep in their zone and can’t move chains.

Let’s see if PHI starts pulling away early, or if the Denver D plays up to its ability. PHI O v DEN D is obviously the story of the game here.

Denver D doing what it needs to do on PHI’s second series getting a 3 down stop, but PHI in FG range after starting with good field position. 10-3.

Brandon Marshall stalling the Eagles drive. That was a long 3rd down to try and convert on the ground, interesting call.

Good field position for Denver on the punt return.

Thats a catch, no?

ETA - another angle shows that the ball came loose as receiver was completing catch through the ground. DEN smartly hurries the FG attempt before a challenge and hits it.

I have no idea what constitutes a catch in today’s NFL.
They must have decided he was going to the ground "in the process" but he took 2 steps before he was hit...I'm not sure he would have gone to the ground without the hit....bad call going against Denver IMO. Likely would have been held to 3 either way though the way this is going

So true and the NFL doesn’t know either. They should just simplify and live with it.

In that specific case, was it a catch as he got two feet down? Not a catch as he didn’t control all the way through the ground? A near fumble as he eatablished himself as a runner?

Stuff is super confusing, fam.

Eagles benefit from what looked like a phantom holding call on Roby on a 3rd down.

Denver not doing themselves favors by taking stupid penalties theowing the ball dowfield after play is over. The roughing the passer call was really borderline. The lineman was there as Wentz was still throwing.

ANother bad call....tackler had no idea that ball is gone. THe unsportsmanlike was legit though so right yards in the end

Man Wentz is just matchup proof. I got spooked with Ertz out and played Brees which stings but man I love his kid.

That was my first reaction on the roughing, but on the replay I feel like he clearly knew the ball was gone.  Could have partly been due to slo mo I suppose.

MOre impressive is that the protection for Wentz has been OK...not perfect but OK against a good front

If you are arguing that the player knew the ball was gone before he contacted Wentz, not sure that’s the case but even with the benefit of doubt, defender was there already in process of tackling, not as if he had to take an extra step.

If you are more referring to the extra flip/slam at the end instead of just pulling Wentz down, my answer would be: this is football.

They keep talking about Denver's success on their first drive....but every play on that drive was heavily contested...unsustainable

On that pass to DT, what the heck was his teammate doing standing there staring at the one remaining defender between DT and the endzone? If #23 comes across and blocks Bradham, DT easily gets into the endzone.
