Denver running game (1 Viewer)

I don't understand how the "experts" keep touting DEN's running game as a plus. There's no doubt they had a good year last year. But McGahee is going to be 31 next year. He had by far his best year ever last season at the age of 30. We all know Moreno isn't likely going to improve all of a sudden just because Manning's now in-town. I know they've got a good O-line, but that doesn't automatically infer that the Run-game is going to be that elite again.

Do you think they'll target someone in FA? A trade (J.Stewart)? Or the draft?

Mcgahee hadn't had much run over the past 4 yrs until last yr, he still has some tread left.

I'm hoping for Doug Martin in Denver. He'd be a perfect fit IMO but I'm not sure about his pass pro.

Their run game should be more conventional and consistent. Fantasy point wise, I'd say it may not produce as many points as 2011.

Psst... keep this on the down low. A little bird told me there's a deep sleeper to be had there.

Joeseph Addai follows Manning to Denver?
No thanks. We'll stick with what we've got. Also, there is a theory out there now that this could help Moreno out A TON. He isn't a good runner between the tackles, but he can make guys miss outside. Having a QB that can throw accurately and quickly might just make him a featured part of the offense.

The Denver running game was manufactured through Tebow. If they don't improve the RB talent, expect to use a Denver RB as a flex play, spot starter only.

@ Punch, Nice avatar. That was my team pic last year.

Its simple. McGahee was a sleeper for me in a few leagues LAST YEAR.

He will be overdrafted.

It only takes one to draft him high and that will definitely happen.

It wont be me. Plan accordingly

Ill take Moreno round 20

Regardless of whatever else he did or didn't do, there is no doubt in my mind that the running QB was a huge factor in the success of Denver's RBs last year. I would even go so far as to say I think their running game is instantly terrible if they go to the "Manning" offense. I think they know that already though and might revamp their RB crew.

Moreno seems ideally suited in this situation, doesn't he? I don't knwo if I can even take myself seriously when I say it but I think if there was ever a chance that Moreno could be a factor, its now in a PPR league.

Really? Den OL > Indy OL, McGahee > Addai and Addai when he stayed healthy was fairly productive.

Losing Tebow and gaining Manning will be a negative. Tebow was the main reason that running game was so good. Manning is a throw first QB. I expect fewer carries to the backs and the efforts for the offensive line will focus on pass blocking as a priority, so that won't help the run game.

Peyton in his own words wanted a team a strong running game/defense........he knows he has to rely on it more. Faulk and Edge didn't have any problems producing and if addai wasn't so underwhelming I think he could have produced more. Just tle last few years the run blocking turned to be horrid and if not for peyton they would also be the worst pass blocking OL
