Desert Island Album Draft - 15th Anniversary Edition - 50 Rounds in the books, sign up now for KP's listening program (2 Viewers)

Into the Sea(live)- God Street Wine.  Really digging this right now too, has a similar guitar sound as Santana.

Couldn't make it thru the double shot of Arcade Monkeys/Arctic Fire

Giver- K Flay - not something I listen too but I kinda liked it

Cause we Ended as Lovers- Jeff Beck - yeah- here we go!

15+ minutes of Herbie Hancock- 6 mins in and haven't changed it so must be ok,lol

I few Friday night music/draft questions:

1.  What have you stumbled on through the draft that was new to you and you are most excited about exploring more?

2.  What artist/album isn't new, but you know you should be listening to it more because every time it comes up you like it?

3.  What albums you drafted do you think might be new for a lot of us and would like people to listen to the most?
This post started because I was pissed I screwed up and accidently screwed up my research playlist, so I am currently not 100% sure on #1, but I know I can search the thread and find some of my posts if needed.  Otherwise, so be it - shuffle and start over!!   My current answers:

1.  The Band come to mind.  Nope, never seen the doc, haven't heard more than probably one of their big hits.   I also have The The, Big Star, and Drive By Truckers written down here, but I know there were a few pop songs I didn't know and a couple others I had starred on my notes for further exploration.

2.  This list is pretty big:   Television, Petty, Stevie Wonder, Buzzcocks, Replacements, Peter Gabriel, Spoon, Otis Redding, Earth/Wind/Fire.

3.  I think my main ones would be Lord Huron - Strange Trails and Sun Kil Moon - Ghosts of the Great Highway.   Love those albums so much.      Next would be a tentative Opeth - Pale Communion.    Pretty sure some of the metal guys in here would like it, especially anybody who drafted an album more on the prog side or something like Deep Purple, etc.

Same here - but this is what it was before COVID, so can't blame it on that.
My bar hopping days stopped a long time ago, unless it is some special occasion for someone's birthday or something. I like to see live music when there is someone around I want to see, and I like to go out to eat, or eat at a friend's house. Other than that, I hang at home.

This is mostly me.

BUT - I hide behind my kids and probably use them to explain away my lack of desire to do anything.    The wife and I will go out occasionally to a concert, but besides that it's my preference to stay at home and booze/game/movie watch/FFA chat.   I will run out of excuses soon when the 5 year old is old enough to take care of herself at night.

That said, I would be 100% in for an FFA cornhole of these weird music drafters.

Listening to a full album from a group that gets a bad rap.

And I will likely get some flack on it ...but it's great 70s pop.  Likely considered easy-listening these days.

One thing that was nice about that Sturgill Simpson show tonight was that it was multiple people in the same room.  That's a huge step up from musicians in separate video windows.

That is an interesting combo.

As a Rangers fan, don’t like Sid the Kid, but it’s mainly out of jealousy for what he’s done/won.
For sure.

Pops was in the Air Force, so none of really settled in on a local team.  For NFL, it was mostly us picking AFC teams.  Dad is Pitts fan, Mom is Dolphins, and I was Pats for as long as I could remember - back to the Grogan days.   Pretty sure Bledsoe was drafted the year I graduated HS and wore my birthday number 11, so of course I  him.  Vividly remember being pissed that this punk Brady got the starts over him after he was healed from his injury...

Pens was more just because they were good when I started watching NHL in HS.   Of course I loved Mario.

Mariners, similar - Griffey Jr.

All the teams just stuck after that.
