Det RBs vs TB defense (1 Viewer)

Nemesis

Footballguy
Last week, TB's defense gave up 188 total rushing yds to Washington (with Torain getting most of them in the 1st half). They looked awful and missed a lot of tackles in sloppy, wet conditions.........however, they never gave up a rushing score.

And now this:

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and linebacker Quincy Black on injured reserve. Defensive end George Johnson and linebacker Tyrone McKenzie were promoted from the practice squad to fill the roster spots.

McCoy suffered a torn left biceps during this past Sunday's 17-16 victory at Washington, finishing his rookie season with 43 tackles and three sacks. Black broke a forearm against the Redskins. He started 10 of 11 games he played and had 88 tackles and two sacks.

Now, I know a lot of people here in the SP have soured on Best,

But is it time to bump Detroit's running game and consider him a fringe starter this week?

Not sure if this helps but Best in a ppr should be considered. He didn't do anything last week but with that defense in the shape it's in and Best getting 15 opportunities a game I think he could perform

I'm probably starting Fred Jackson over him again this week as my #2 but this same question has been nagging me since last Sunday. And didn't the Lions start feeding him the ball in the fourth quarter, not Morris from what I've heard? And his final stat line didn't look horrible. I hope I don't make the wrong call here - I can't tell you how many times I've ended up in second place because in week 15, our championship round, I end up out thinking myself!

You need RBs who can exploit a bad run defense. I'm not sure the Lions are equipped to do that.

Plus Tampa should kill the time of possession game if Blount is as effective as I expect him to be. I'm starting Tampa's D/ST with confidence.

I'm also debating F.Jackson @ MIA (#7 vs the run defense 99yd/game) or Best @ TB (#27 vs the run defense 133yd/game)I just see Detroit having success against this defense that is sliding backwards lately.

I think one of the Lions backs will have a big game, just not sure who. Morris and Best have had the same amount of touches over the past few weeks.

Any Lions homers have anything to add on the Lions backfield situation? Any indication that Best could be in line for more carries, or will the 50/50 split continue?

I thought I was the only one in this boat.

I'm in the semi-finals of my PPR and its between Best @ Tampa or Choice vs Washington.

I think I'm rolling with Best, he has the best shot to bust a long one.

Funny thing is, I'm also starting Bucs D/ST

I'm taking Best as my sneaky play of the week.

The Bucs have one of the worst run defenses in the league.

They just lost two interior run stoppers and already lost a key DB.

The Lions showed they can hang in there with a few teams this year that most would assume would have controlled the clock on them.

Whether they are right in it or trailing, in a ppr, Best has value.

I know he's not completely healthy but as long as he plays I think he is a coin flip chance of busting one good long TD this week.

I hate all of you. I was certain Best would ride my bench like he has the last 7 games, but now I have seeds of doubt Thanks for nothing! Ha!
