Detroit at Green Bay (1 Viewer)

That fumble shouldn't have counted....that play was long dead and refs were slow to blow the whistle

Yeah, Hundley's awful. I didn't want to admit it, being a Bruins fan, but he doesn't see the field very well. He's focusing on one WR, trying to force it in.

Hundley's had plenty of time to learn how to be an NFL QB. I'm afraid it's a failed experiment. Too bad.

First one wasn’t PI...2nd? A whole lot of contact 10 yards downfield before the ball was in the air.

But I more question taking 2 shots at Slay.

Green Bay needs to trust Hundley.

He can throw the ball. Let him loose.

With his plus arm, athletic ability, & receivers, no reason they can't be more productive on offense.

From the JS Game blog just now;

They're better off going with Callahan at this point.

There's nothing he can hang his hat on with Hundley. We haven't seen anything he can do consistently.

McCarthy really has no idea what he wants to do with Hundley and I think it's because Hundley can't play.

Nelson has to fight harder for both those last two passes. Hundley has not been that bad. It’s not like he’s missing open receivers right and left. The receivers aren’t getting open and the running game is AWOL.

Thats a terrific throw to Ebron...a foot either direction and its incomplete or picked off

I do not understand Zenner being inactive again. He is the only decent goal line back and IMO the most complete RB they have.

Not sure there is another QB in the league I would want more.  Sure Brees and Brady are better, but they old.
Pretty much agree. He's in the conversation. Stafford has mostly been held down by mediocrity around him in his Lions career to date whether it be coaches, GMs or whatever. This is the closest he's had to a stable team and staff and at least now there's what appears to be a good GM in place.

He's in his prime now - got more smart, looks a little slimmer last few years, seems more mature, still has all his physical arm tools and is durable as hell.

Just someone please give him an O line and run game

The only thing keeping this game close is Detroit's conservative play-calling on offense.
Um, what the hell is Detroit doing?  They have Stafford carving up the Packer's secondary, and from inside the five earlier they ran an outside pitch play where the run blocker had nobody to hit.  So they get back in the same situation and they take the ball out of Stafford's hands, run multiple plays up the middle with an undersized RB that already fumbled, and even ran a play with 10 guys on the field.

The Lions may beat an ARod less Packers team with that 'strategy', but there's a serious lack of thoughful coaching going on with the Lion's red zone offense right now.

Well that entire drive was based on one big pass to Cobb (which could easily have been picked), but it worked. Maybe it will give Hundley some confidence.

If Detroit can find a way to pressure the QB, they would have a very solid defense.  But they are horrible in that area.

He’s not short on confidence from what I’ve seen. Stands tall in the pocket, great poise, not afraid to throw downfield into coverage.

Olivia Munn telling us "My dog pooped".

That wraps up my non RedZone viewing of a football game for the evening.
