Devin Hester (1 Viewer)

with Gore probably out, thinking about starting him in my flex. Good matchup and Bears should be throwing with Orton rounding back into form.

I'm thinking about picking up either Hester or Walter to replace Braylon Edwards in my lineup this week at flex. Other options are Holt and Avery, but I trust no one on the Rams right now.

I was thinking of doing the same. Saints are terrible against the pass and it only takes Hester one big play to make his game. I might pull Housh or Breaston and put him in. Tough call. If you get punt return yardage, it is easier.

Absolutely starting him in my playoff game. Booker is dinged up, Lloyd is a turd and always dinged up, Davis cannot catch the ball. It will be Forte, Hester and Olsen and the Bears will need to score to keep up with the Saints in a must win game.

At least 5 catches, 60 yards. Easy WR3 start.

Isn't weather/field going to be a factor? Could be a very low scoring game all around.
Weather forecast isn't really that bad. Just cold. Some winds but not overly gusty, 10-15MPH is forecasted. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid teens at gametime but no snow.It won't be comfortable for the players but really shouldn't have a big effect on the passing game.

I, too, picked up Hester to start of Braylon Edwards. The game has a pretty high over/under of 45.5. Bears are favored by 3, or a 24-21 final. Both team are fighting for their playoff lives ... I'm expecting it to be an entertaining game.

Been flip-flopping between him, San. Moss, and Bess all week. The latest FBG cheetsheets haven't made it any easier.

I just don't trust Hester yet. He's still a bit raw as a WR and is just as likely to go 1 for 20 as he is 6 for 120 and a TD.

With that in mind, I'd say he's a nice play if you're the underdog in your playoff matchup, but if you're the favorite, you might want a safer play.

In my case, Bess is the ultimate "safe" but his upside is the lowest. I think I'm going with Moss for good upside and a (slightly) higher floor then Hester.

Hester is averaging 7.6 targets a game over the last 5 games vs. 5.8 targets a game over the course of the season, so he's definitely turned into the #1 option in the Bears passing game.

The Saints secondary is awful, and you know priority #1 for the defense will be trying to shut down Forte. The weather doesn't concern me (I also have Brees and will be starting him without hestitation).

I think Hester should be ranked as one of the top 15-20 wr's for this week at least. Definitely higher than wr's like Braylon, Holt, and Avery (all of which I own).

:loco: Hester has been the most targeted Bear receiver over the last few weeks, and vs. the Saints who he scored on last year on a 55-yd pass play, I think Hester is an above average play this week.

I'm really torn between Bess and Hester. Both seem like good plays. Niners shut down Favre last week so it's a little concerning for Pennington and the Dolphins to me.

I don't want to get into a WDIS, but would you start Hester of TO? Hester is available on our WW, but I've got Roddy and TO already to start this week. I could pick up Hester and start him over TO (I wouldn't drop TO, to be clear.)

In my main league, my RBs got me into the playoffs, and I've been playing matchups for most of the year at WR. I'm currently planning to start Hester and Bess over such names as Antonio Gates (WR/TE combined), Kevin Walter, Amani Toomer, and Jerricho Cotchery.

I've gotten by for most of the year by playing matchups, so I'm using the same formula in making the decision this week. NO has given up a lot of points to the #1 receivers of their opponents. I'm still going back and forth between Hester and Gates, but Gates' recent struggles and a few strong weeks from Hester have me leaning Hester's way.

Didn't produce like I was hoping for, but if I had it to do over I would start him again without hesitation. The Saints had to start doubling him, because no one could cover him man-to-man. He got at least 8 targets, I believe.

I cannot believe Orton missed him when he was wide open on what would of been about a 90 yard touchdown. He also had 2 big pass interference calls.

I played against him so I'm glad he ended up not having a great night stat wise.. But he could of had a huge night if Orton wouldn't of missed him on a couple of throws. He looks like he may end up being a decent WR...

anybody going with him against GB on MNF? Lots of targets last week and he clearly beat the secondary often - Orton held him back. Lots of time to prepare for this game though.

Thoughts?
