Would you even consider putting your electronics larger than a cell phone into checked luggage?  Pretty much a crapshoot as to whether they would arrive into the US at all, or at least undamaged, right?

FAA recommends no electronics in the baggage hold.

So do we believe DHS or the FAA?  Your government at work, folks.
