As I think my options are voting for a pile of #### or a pile of #### with a different smell, I make the informed decision not to vote. If I ever see anyone worth a damn to vote for, then I'll vote. I don't believe not voting means I have no say about anything with regards to our government, if anything I am much more informed than the average voter. If you get off on patting yourself on the back for voting just to say you did, run along, I'm not buying what you're selling.

I would have voted today, but I had no idea who was running. They should really devote some money to commercials.
lol. bill clinton called me personally to tell me to vote for tom wolf, imo
Cool! I got a call from President Obama last night. I hung up on him, don't know who he wanted me to vote for. But at least I can say I hung up on the president of the United States.

Yep. In Georgia -- in and out in 5 minutes. Zero problems. No hassles. Even had to show ID, which I have no problem with whatsoever.

Voted, mostly democrats but did vote for the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

No ID but I did need to confirm my monkey preference.

Just voted, mainly Lib and Green candidates and left blank anyone running unopposed. Registered Republican.

I voted. My polling place said they were much busier than the last midterm. And early voting was up by 40% over 2010. That may bode well for Democrats here.

Well?

I voted at 8:00am this morning in my EVil, NYC district. Only a couple of people there... probably the 2nd lowest turnout I've seen.
I'm embarassed to admit I forgot. Are there any major NYC or NYS issues on the ballot this year?

eta: Seems like there's a vote on a $2B bond issuance for technology upgrades in schools. I'll head over at lunch.
Hope you are voting no. There's a bunch of terrible ideas in this bond measure.
FWIW, I voted against this measure solely because of this post above. No joke.

When I went to vote there was a huge Girl Scout cookie table with 50 girl scouts that you had to maneuver past to get into the poliing station. WTF is that?

That's not cool.Mine was in a churchy school across the street. Was able to walk there, vote, and walk back in 15 minutes.

why did you vote this way?
Why not? I'd like to see a third party as a viable option, I voted for the R in the only race that I had a firm opinion on. I generally agree with Libertarians as much if not more than the Rs.
I read it as lib(eral) and green candidates.

I asked the polling lady to use the back door so I could avoid that mess on the way out. She thought I was crazy.

She only likes exit poles when it is a red state.

I only voted because there were a couple of ####### designed to rob you props on the ballet that hopefully the majority would see behind the dumbassedness of it. Luckily, it paid off! :pickle:

Republicans and Democrats are the same... They pick a few issues to oppose each other and everyone picks a side. At the end of the day it makes zero difference. I didn't vote and it doesn't matter if Joe the lying Democrat or Bob the lying Republican is elected to me.
but this simply isn't true. Of course it makes a huge difference. Look at Obamacare. Whether or not you think that is a good law, it has surely affected your life already, or it will, in a very significant manner. It could not have happened without a Democrat President, Senate, and Congress. Just one example of the many differences between Dems and Republicans. This idea that there is no difference between them is pretty tiresome and just false.
A lot of folks don't care HOW they are getting screwed. They just care that they are getting screwed. From that perspective, FC42's point is valid.

This is important point, and hard to refute for us who lean to a particular party. Case in point, the Keystone pipe project gets held up by the Democratic Senate until they get beat in mid terms and now Landreu is ready to work with McConnell for her constituents to get jobs in Louisiana. Before that, global warming can't help burn more carbon blah blah blah. Almost all of them are simply whores regardless of R or D.
