Divisional Round Game Thread - SD Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers (1 Viewer)

Nice game Steelers. Way to many mistakes for the Chargers to overcome against a scary good defense. I thought we had a glimmer of hope after the long kick return but that was short lived.

Looking at the teams left I think you got the inside track on the Lombardi Trophy (no jinx). Someone posted something about you guys winning Superbowls when you have the Defensive POTY. Looks like that could come true again and you'd have one for the thumb.

Now we gotta live with Norv for another year. Friggin' wonderful.

We already have one for the thumb. Working on a new hand now.

Let's stop all of the pissing and moaning about the calls. They are having no bearing on the outcome of this game whatsoever.
what game are you watching.. every call affects a game in some fashion..
Weddle clearly grabbed his arm. That was pass interference.
just like Taylor clearly grabbed V Jax on the one in the first drive that wasn't called.....that's what I call consistency...and the NFL officiating in that regard gets worse week to week and year to year..when people who bet close matchups make their bet one way or another because of the crew that is officiating there's a problem.. matter of fact.. that's probably why I'm gonna hit big on this Game.. :)

LMAO @ that "roughing the passer" - I've seen a ton of non-calls like that over the years but that was THE worst. Did Rivers get a boo-boo?? refs are simply horrible this year.

Missing one call doesn't mean you don't call it later.pathetic roughing the passer call.

Now we can start talking about the Ravens. Man do I hate the Ravens. Gonna be a tough game though. Here's hoping for a Steagles Superbowl!!
Steelers should win. The Ravens have shown no ability to really move the ball against the Steelers in 2 games. I'm thinking 17-10 steelers.

Sorry, I meant the other thumb. Unless you want to wear it on the little pinky of your other hand, mobster style. :D

rewinding it ... you clearly see Waddell pull Nate left arm well before the ball got there.
Like every DB does when they are defending you mean?
Yes every DB pulls down one arm of every wide receiver before the ball gets there as he's catching it...
Look fella, this game is winning me money. In addition, after watching all four games this weekend I am calling the Steelers to win it all. They look like the best team to me. It just looked like a bit of a weak call that made a huge difference in the game. Keep in mind I have still only seen it once.

Don't try that stuff here...

They always call that. It's not really the refs fault. The rule is written without much wiggle room.

I don't know, looked pretty clear that he grabbed his arm before the ball got there. :D

You only see 1 angle and he grabs it down, not like the running down the sidelines hand checking kind of way but the I'm diving for the ball but too early.Plus you don't see the other side of the play :DStill a lot of time.....

True. It's not really Rivers' fault that he was hit by a forearm in the face at the same time that the NFL has a rule against that.

If baby Jesus himself came down and started playing for the Chargers they still couldn't pull this game out. No reverse jinx, just the facts.

it is the ref's fault cuz I'm pretty sure the rule doesn't say it's roughing if you so much as touch or graze the QB a split second after he throws it. laughable, horrible call (but good point that the rule probably needs rewritten)PS credit to PIT to go for the kill, but I would have tried short, middle of the field passes.

He was going for the ball though.... he should get some benefit :D

Um, did you miss the first game between them this season?
They had a low average per play that game. The Ravens just ran a lot more plays. But really they didn't move it well at all. That's why even though the Steelers were forced into numberous 3 n outs, they still won.

What the heck is that guy doing looking at the WR while he sprints over there jumping the pass? That doesn't even make sense. If he's looking back at the QB while making the break like pretty much anyone with common sense would do then he probably picks that one off.
