I love it! The Bears and Lovie thrive on being the underdog and having a 'world against us' mentality
Why wouldn't the Packers be Favorites?
Maybe because the Bears play GB tough and are at home and are the #2 seed and won the NFC North and will likely win next Sunday?

Did anyone else after that last TD see the fan in the stands with the camcorder? I thought the NFL was pretty adamant against fans filming the game. With the guy's face on tape, it wouldn't surprise me if he receives a nasty surprise from the NFL soon.

Seattle fans were getting a little fresh talking about how they were happy to get the Bears. We told you that 1st game didnt matter and that this was a different team.

Now nobody will pick the Bears next week....NOBODY.

Never thought I would see a Bears-Packers NFC championship game.....wow

What is the point of punting down by 18 with 6 minutes left? Its unbelievable how many coaches do stuff like that in playoff games.
It's purely a job preservation move by Carroll. It looks better when you lose by 18 than when you lose by 25.
Job preservation? Really? In his first year, Pete got Seattle into the playoffs (albeit with a losing record, but whatever) AND got them a playoff win against last year's Superbowl champs. I have a feeling his job is safe for a while, whatever the outcome of this game is.

Hasselbeck's final line -- 258 yards and 3 TD passes, no interceptions. If you only knew that one stat from this game you'd have never known what a snoozer the thing was.

Can't blame Hawks fans for preferring the Bears. Most NFL fans mistakenly underestimated the Bears. Especially after the bad taste left in their mouths after the NYG and NE losses in nationally televised marquee games. Everyone know the Bears defense is solid, but they don't have many household names on offense and Cutler is better known for getting beat silly or his shortcomings rather than his successes. In this way the Bears offense and Cutler and Forte in particular are both under rated, as is the coaching staff. I don't blame anyone who thinks the Bears aren't as good as their record/seeding. It's up to the Bears and their coaching staff to show the NFL and its fans that they are the real deal. I'm optimistic at this point considering how far they've come, especially on the oline and in terms of their offensive preparation, playcalling, and in game adjustments. Having a bunch of former head coaches on staff has helped this team make tremendous strides.

Exactly. He played very well for a QB with limited weapons and no running game. He showed good patience and took the sack when there was nothing there. If Brett Favre was starting instead of him, he would have thrown it up for grabs and the score would have been 95 to 24.

But if it's his last game as a Seahawk, at least everyone knows that Good Matt showed up in the playoffs. He was the only one out there playing at playoff level. Seattle needed a near perfect game coupled with some Bears breakdowns to win. We got the opposite: near perfect game from Chicago and too many mistakes by Seahawks. I think there were officially 4 drops, but there were 2 or 3 others tha should've been caught. Not to mention Big Play Babs dropped a game changing gift pick for a 14 point swing. The better team today played like it. Congrats, it'll be a helluva game next week.Seattle doesn't come out empty handed. Plenty of young players got some extremely valuable experience, as did the coach. And maybe even better is a sense of confidence in themselves and their coach. The last 3rd of the season was forgettable, but they showed promise early and late and should hold their heads high, even after a solid loss like this.

Just goes to show you how overrated stats can be. Also, the way the Bears finished the game on defense could work to their benefit for next week. Instead of being too happy with themselves, they will be pissed for not finishing strong.

Urlacher was pissed they seemed to take the 4th quarter easy. But to Seattle's credit, they never gave uup.

one quarter down three to go!Bring on GB!!!
You'll get your chance next weekend. :P Until then enjoy watching the Bears domination today and enjoy your dreams of a Super Bowl until they are extinguished next Sunday by the Bears...
Packers total domination of the #1 Seed and a 13-3 team on the road>>>>>> Bears domination of a 7-9 team at home.HTH
:popcorn:You act as if GB and the Bears haven't played each other this year.

I think you need to learn to read all the posts in a reply, rather than just the one that makes you feel good about yourself and your ridiculous reply.HTH

Good game by the Seahawks, nothing to hang your heads about especially after what you did to the Saints. Congrats to the Bears on a great game/season

Looking forward to the Packers vs Bears :goodposting:

Well done. Bears deserved to win because they are the better team.

We'll be back next year in Chicago. I hope our team improves enough to give you a better game.

Good luck through the rest of the post season. :goodposting:
