i was in a fantasy asylum league last year and now its fantasyfootball dot comand they contracted the league now im angry what is a good site for some pay leagues? that will be around for awhile so a can join a real dynasty league
If you want a site that will NEVER get bought out to host your league, use CBS Sportsline. You can have what you want but its gonna cost you in the quality of product you receive as well as the price you pay. I really like MFL--Its constatntly improving and it has a very unique aspect of the site with the support message boards. The site designers deal directly with the members and make many improvements based on what the members request/suggest.
Excuse the doublepost please.Unlucky is a good guy. Maybe at first a negative nickname might "throw ya" I suppose but folks around here really seem to like him too. I thought you meant join a league not a hosting site. Hosting site, yeah sportsline or MFL. Each been around "forever" and not going anywhere anytime soon.
I've been on sportsline for 5+ years without a problem. I doubt they'll get bought, but cbs.marketwatch.com did, so you can't say they never will.fantasy sports has gotten big and it costs a lot more to get visitors / advertisers than a few years back. it's the usual consolidation in any industry after/during a period of high growth.
Here is the link to Unlucky's site. I played in a league there last year and was quite happy, although I'm not sure how many dynasty leagues are running.
A lot of the HAFA leagues have moved over to gridirongrumblings.com . They are also pimping something called HEAT and TUFF leagues. Not sure if that helps.
As part of the Fantasy Asylum switchover here is what happened. Ryan Houston and the vast majority of FA writers went to FantasyFootball.com. Terry Cannon and I went to GridironGrumblings.com and Kirk Bouyelas went to FootballDiehards.com.As to your original question - not really a lot of sites get bought out. Some do, but most just end up disappearing after the folks running them realize how much it costs to run a site and how much time and effort it takes. There is a huge turnover in this industry. That is why sites like this one are very good. They are in it for the long haul.
