Score is 39-14, I was rooting for the Saints. With that score you'd have to assume the Bears would win in New Orleans, on the Moon or in my backyard, 39-14 is a blowout.
True, but my prediction would be that the Saints would have been up HUGE in the first half on a decent field.

Well maybe the Saints should lose fewer than 3 games if that's the excuse they'll use.

Their defense got ran all over when it mattered most.

And their players couldn't hold onto the ball, or block for their quarterback.

Absolutely the Bears would have won on any surface in any location today. They were the superior football team today, and today is the day that mattered.

i dont post much, and im not the most intellegent guy here, but why do we let people like this make polls or even post at all for that matter?

Hilarious.

There should be a poll: Would the world end if we run out of "what-if" scenarios in which the Bears could not possibly have won or excuses why they should not have won.

So the Saints suddenly would have been able to tackle Jones/Benson better on a decent field, but the Bears now would not have been able to tackle Bush/McAllister the same on that same field? :goodposting:

Troy Aikman said the field favored the offense early in the game b/c the offense knows when/where they are going to cut, the defense has to react to it on.

All this weather stuff is for losers. The Bears were better than us today, period.

We had our chance at 14-16 in the 3rd quarter and appeared to have the Bears defense on the ropes. Then, we missed the field goal and the Bears got the safety. The whole game changed after that.

Give the Bears credit. Their defense was great today and they ran the ball great. Grossman wasn't spectacular, but he didn't make any big mistakes.

Agreed.I'm also a Saints fan and the weather was not the reason we were hammered. Well done Bears & good luck next week.

Apparently Sean Payton disagrees..."I think the conditions ended up being better [than expected]," New Orleans coach Sean Payton said. "There wasn't a lot of wind. The footing and the wind were the biggest concerns. It ended up being pretty decent this time of year here. The footing held up. Both teams used screw-in cleats and I don't think the weather had anything to do with [the loss.]"

Was he even there? :goodposting: Saints were thoroughly outplayed. If the weather was a factor, the Saints overcame, adn got right back in the game, after adjusting. Then the Bears dropped the hammer.

I thought the Saints would win going away, under any conditions.
