each week info is always late and the info is overloaded with data. i get more info from the forums, such as Mann's postings. other free sites are just as useful...nfl, si, fftoday....any one has other good free sites?

the only good thing i like about this site so far is the 35k contest.

The forums are extremely useful. Posters on here are mostly very informed and lots of homer info.

The subscriber contest is a ton of fun, I love it every year. Overall the real strength I get out of FBGs is in the off-season, in-season I get just about as much info here as I can and do everywhere else. Personally I don't like the Draft Dominator, it is a useful tool, but too many use it almost like autodraft, then get pissed at it.

I love FBGs and subscribe now, and will continue too.

I am a first time payer this year. Draft Dominator and Lineup Dominator have turned out to be complete busts with their projections. Used DD in 3 leagues, have used LD every week, and I have sucky teams made even more sucky by ending up with more bench points than starting points week after week after week.

You can get the breaking information in any of 50 places on the web. The draw for me was the data crunching and the advantage it was supposed to provide.

So far, this pay features of the site have done nothing but pi$$ me off.

Rant over.

long time subscriber.......

I do think the actual content is getting less useful with the bombardment of info coming from numerous differnt sites, and the message board being the most useful aspect of the site...with the Draft Dominator coming in a close 2nd.

I am not one to be upset that projections or cheatsheets are not spot on , seems that today's NFL is extremly unpredicatble.

There is great effort put in by the staff, and that is appreciated. Trying to come up with new tools and such. Keep trying to get better.

I think that the Draft Dominator program and the Lineup Dominator program are worth the subscription alone. The weekly articles are sometimes late, but not always.

I agree that alot of the data is overkill, so I just ignore it altogether. I mainly pay attention to the Upgrade/Downgrade/Waiver Wire stuff at the beginning of the week, the LD updates at the middle of the week to help me decide on any waivers that I may want, and the last minute news on Sunday to help me figure out any Sunday morning lineup issues.

For $25, I think is definitely worth it. I pay about $550 a season in entry fees for 4 leagues, so another $25 to help me manage all of my teams is a bargain. (LD rocks if you have multiple leagues)

I've been FBG subscriber since day one, and even visited the site religiously back in the cheatsheets.net days.

DD is a good tool. But that's all it is, a tool. If you use it with some other tools you can end up with a pretty good team. Just using DD isn't the best of ideas. Lineup Dominator helps sometimes, but data changes so fast, for example Travis Henry wasn't even on the cheatsheets until the end of this week. You have to use all the info here to be successful, not just parts of it.

Subscriber here. I have no complaints, but I like to make my own decisions. If you blindly follow a site like this you are looking for trouble.

 I think some people have a strange concept of what all of these tools are for, which is an odd downside to the sophisticated level of resources that this site provides. They complain that Draft Dominator didn't get them a good team, but that's like complaining that your expensive nail gun failed to build you a good house. All these things are are tools to aid your decisionmaking, but make no mistake, it's your decisionmaking (combined with a lot of dumb luck - welcome to FF!) that ultimately makes or breaks your team.

I disagree. I would asssume that whoever puts together the projections has already taken into account all of the info presented.
The forums are also a good source of info. Pre-draft you need to take the DD, all of the projections, plus all of the forum info into account. Then cross reference that will multiple other sites. That is what helps give you a competitive FF team. If you just come online a few days before your draft download DD then of course you won't do so hot.

Ultimately, a lot of fantasy football is random. We're searching for "the truth." We want to know how many yards player X will run for today. And every website that provides forecasts gives us their best estimate of the truth. But of course there's a HUGE confidence interval around those forecasts. What if player X gets injured? What if his team falls behind by 3 TD's in the first quarter and they abandon the run? Then he'll be closer to the 10th percentile of his possible performances in thisgame. Alternatively, what if he runs for an 80 yard TD on his first carry? He'll probably end up closer to the 90th percentile. If they played the game 100 times, player X's average performance would probably be pretty close to the forecast. But they only play the game once. Unfortunately, from the tone of your post it sounds like you're getting a lot of 10th percentile performances rather than 90th percentile performances. That's the nature of fantasy football. Personally, I think it sucks and that's why I prefer fantasy baseball to fantasy football -- more games -> less randomness over the course of the season -> luck is less of a factor.

Use the MYFBG if you havent already. I didnt know why bother at first...but you get your custom cheatsheets for your scoring, plus all the info on your players.. After the news, this is the first place I go.

I agree. I used DD, and I didn't blindly follow what it said. I'm on the forums all the time, but, quite frankly, you will get EVERY opinion about a player on the forums. You will get evrything from "I am drafting this guy in every league" to "I would never draft that idiot" about each guy.Someone mentioned luck, and that is all it is. I agree. It's pointless to argue. The guys that pay will always pay, the guys that don't never will. Whatever makes you happy. It's like a typical FFA Friday religion topic.

I like that feature, just like I like LD. Problem is, it has been wrong for me all year. Whatever.

I update it every time I open it. Usually Wed/Fri/Sun

I barely read any of the in-season material from FBG that gets emailed to me and I never log into the site except for the Sunday morning update page, but I consider the pre-draft information and tools to be completely invaluable and certainly worth my subscription. I will continue to subscribe. If FBG was to ever offer a discounted pre-season only package, I'd go for it, but if not, I'll happily keep subscribing year after year.

Well that's good, at least you are getting up to the minute info. I was thinking you may be using outdated versions of LD. Personally I don't like it too much, I use it in addition to cheatsheets, plus what I get off other sites. As well as my own projections, which I guess just amounts to my "gut" feelings.

Not trying to be a jerk here, But maybe your team just isn't good enough. It tougher to figure out projections to the likes of I. Hilliard, Thomas Jones then the typical "stud".

Long time subscriber to content, but have only been active on the boards for the last 3-4 years. Easily the best FF site on the Net and I see no reason to stop subscribing. Between the content, the forums, and the e-mails, no other site has been as useful for "one stop shopping"...

Would you mind posting your team here? I'd be curious to see what you have to work with. Also - if you post your current team, which players did you pick up via free agency or trade?

Totally valid point. The guys that were supposed to be studs for me (FWP, Henry, Gore, MJD, Brees) have killed me. Those were the guys FBG had ranked higher than other sites, so I went with them. In my three leagues I am probably going to be 2-14 after this week.

 Parker and Henry are two of the top 5 rushers so far this year...

Thanks for the good words in the thread but this forum is too busy for this. Most all of our customers like what we do and most all of them continue to be with us in following years once they subscribe. For the ones that don't like the service, they have through the first month of the year to get their money back if they don't think it's a great deal.
