DONE DEAL: Randy Moss to Vikings trade (1 Viewer)

Didn't read entire thread...Does this help or hurt Moss' fantasy value. I can see Favre chucking it up to him at will and defenses have to respect the run much more so than the Pats
Good question. I think it would help Adrian Peterson and the ground game the most. Moss would still be a good candidate for 1,000-1,200 and 10 TDs the rest of the way but Adrain Peterson would run wild on teams even more than he is now. Peterson IMO is the #1 RB in the NFL in terms of power, speed, and vision. Some guys are faster, some are perhaps stronger, but he combines the 3 major categories the best.

As a Favre, Moss and Harvin owner I say Please God make this happen. This would be a huge boost for all three in my opinion.

Really late to the party on this, been tied up tonight.
You got here, bro. You got here. That's all that matters now. :lmao:
It just blows my mind RN, I'm here too much most of the time and I get into something else tonight and this breaks. This is what I love about this place though, 4 pages blow up on this instantly. Tons of NFL fans haven't the slightest clue that this is happening right now and won't hear about it until Trent Dilfer tells them tomorrow on NFL live on ESPN.
MOP watching the Miami Heat's first game too?
Exactly. I was at the Skeller here at The U and am doing the weekly in UM library as usual. Doesn't belong in this thread but DWade tweaked his hammy 4:00 into the game tonight. Haven't even been to the FFA to see is anyone else reported it.

As a Packers fan, this would suck. As a Moss owner, I would love to see this. Fantasy football sucks.

Not true. In less than an hour this was already being scrolled at the bottom of ESPN! The NFL network and on the CBS sports line homepage. Yes a lot of good discussion here but Glazer and Simmons and Florio broke this

Umm as a Packer fan this does not worry you that Favre could have Moss at his disposal? Are you that comfortable to think Minny could not over take the Pack for the division with this move or is fantasy more impotant then what the Packer do? Just wondering.

Theyre still saying that there just in talks, nothing official, and that Vikes havent even talked to Moss about extension yet. Correct or no?

What makes me convinced that things are being discussed is that Randy Moss is being awfully quiet. If it was only a rumor then I'd think he'd have tweeted, or made another comment to a writer about how he's upset with the Pats. He'd be one of the first people reporters would try to get a comment from.

If this trade happens, I see AP regressing this year in fantasy terms. Favre loves to throw TDs and ultimately trusts only his arm to make plays. Without a stud WR this season, AP should have his best season. With Moss I see him not reaching his ceiling.

BTW, I just offered DeSean and Forsett for Moss and F. Jones - the RBs are throw aways, but I'm hoping he bites.

He does something great by alerting everyone to Randy Moss possibly being traded and then he has to go and start putting people down. He just doesn't quite get it in here but oh well, we thank him for being the 1st to grab Glazer and Schefter tweets.

As a Packers fan this would be a disaster and provide further proof of what a gigantic blunder Thompson made by not addressing his own No. 1 glaring need (running back). But I'm not employed by the Packers. I have a huge pay day coming if I win my top league. If the Packers want to cut me a check for the amount now, I'll root for the trade not to happen. Otherwise, I gotta take care of my own and hope the Packers take care of their own business too.

favre is the perfect qb for moss. holy ####

as a disapointed moss owner and on behalf of disapointed moss owners everywhere please let this go through

This is huge for B. Farve owners. Also should help the other WRs & TE on Minn. As for NE, it is hard to deal a talent like Moss, but I think this could make sense for them. They should be able to win without him and have plenty of talent to spread the ball around too.

Plus his performance last night where he was just walking around especially in run blocking assignments.

Good answer thanks and if it is big money I would feel the same way.

I think that anyone who assumes that Hernandez's value goes up is way off base. Does anyone really think he's going to avg more than 5 - 60 the rest of the season? He'll probably get some more TD looks but he's no Moss. Basically, he's already on pace for 900+ yards with Moss to think he'll get much more than that isn't realistic.

I was surprised the Pack did not get Lynch.

As we've seen so far this year the Pats are comfortable using Moss as a decoy and spreading the ball around. Favre has the belief he can get the ball to anyone he wants and will force it if he thinks a guy is open. I think it definitely helps a lot in PPR leagues, maybe a little less so in non-PPR.

Small point for Moss owners... you'd now have your #1 WR for every week of the fantasy season, and not have to replace him in your lineup this week. Thank you Week 4 Minnesota bye!

What makes him valuable is he becomes a big red zone target. The TDs will come. Brady loves throwing to this kid.

welkers value down??? um I dont see it.
Moss draws the coverage away from Welker almost every play.Without Moss, Welker isn't going to be so wide open.
Welker draws the #1 corner and possibly double coverage.
Last night, Vontae Davis was covering Moss for the whole game. In Week 2, Revis was on Moss until he got hurt, then Cromartie moved over to cover Moss. Not sure what you're talking about
