I just read Drinen's article on The "Optimal" Draft.

I'm wondering if the draft order changes significantly if there are 10 teams instead of 12. Doug, are you out there??? Nice work BTW. Would love to have the code for the article if you can post it in the Tools section.

I think its always a good idea to try to acquire as many of players that are ranked #1 at their position as you can. I think that's what this study may be showing. If you can get the #1 RB, the #1 WR, and the #1 TE in the draft, you should be way ahead. Like Drinen said, however, part of this may just be due to the fact that the #1 TE has been so predictably Tony Gonzalez in recent years.
