Downright injustice and blasphemy (1 Viewer)

I'll say it, you know me. Mike Singletary is the greatest LB to ever play the game. He's a fantastic leader and knows the game of football. Jerry Jones is a complete fool if he doesn't hire this fine man to lead Dallas into the promised land yet again. Mr. Singletary, bulging eyes and all, is the man for the job. I'll see to it. :lmao:

Being the so-called greatest LB of all time doesn't necessarily mean Mr. Singletary is the best choice for Cowboys head coach.

I would think some time as a head coach previously would probably be more benificial.

My favorite out of all the canidates to date would be Jason Garrett. If the so-called plan is to groom him for the next head coach, why not just give it to him now. Heck it has worked with Avery and the Mavs.

I think you're exaggerating here...save the outrage for something truly worthwhile like my boy William Green not getting a fair shake.

My gut tells me Mike doesn't get the job and Jerry is just giving him an interview to be in step with the Rooney rule. I agree Mike should at least get a shot to be a head coach be it Dallas or somewhere and it should of happened years ago.

So, he should have been a head coach before he had any coaching experience???He's only been coaching for 4 years. He started in 2003. Im getting really tired of people thinking that playing in the NFL somehow qualifies you to be an NFL head coach.

My bad. I didn't realise he had been a "coach" for only 4 years. I was thinking he had been around since 1999 or so. Still should get his shot regardless.

It is a pretty large risk to give the HC job to such an inexperienced guy. But IMHO, when its all said and done there will be other owners besides Jones who will be wishing they had taken that risk with Mr. Singletary.

That was a bad hire also. If I recall Tice "imprerssed" Red McCoombs when he told randy Moss to sit the hell down and shut the hell up on a flight back from a game. I believe Moss was throwing a fit of some kind in front of team marketing sponsors. So Tice wasn't qualified, and either is Singletary.

George, I have a problem with your post. It is possible to go the wrong way on this issue as well as solving problems.

The best person should get jobs, if Mike is the best he should get it. If not, then the next guy gets his chance.

Gonna get Willie to make a call for ya?Singletary will get a head coaching job someday, but it's not likely to be this year.

If the plan is to groom Jason Garrett for the next HC job at Dallas in a couple of years...then why not give the job to Singletary? If he does a good job then Jerry is a genius. If he does a crappy job then Jason is ready to step up and Jerry is a genius

He interviewed two other Afro'Americans before touching base with MS.

Cowboys fan here with my .02

Mike was in town yesterday for 9 HOURS!!!!!!! If Jones were just simply getting by the Rooney rule, would he have had given that extensive an interview? I doubt it! He already satisfied the Rooney rule earlier.

My wish: Jones hired Garrett as OC with the carat of the HC someday. Hire Mike as the DC with the same carat. Both young coaches can learn under NORV TURNER HC for a few years until they are ready to be a HC.

Turner, Garrett & Singletary - Now that's a nice trifecta!!!! :lmao:

Makes sense to me then again I've never played in the NFL or been a head coach so what do I know?

Any scenario in which Jerry Jones is guaranteed to look like a genius is obviously flawed. :bag:

Why are you picking on the Cowboys? What about every other team that hired a new head coach this season and did not hire (or even interview) him? Heck, if it is that obvious you should be calling out all the teams that hired new head coaches last year and didn't hire (or even interview) him.

I'd rather see Weezy as the Cowboys new head coach.

Cowboys had already interviewed a minority. This had nothing to do with the Rooney rule.I also think Mike needs more time as a coach before he gets his shot. Dungy/Smith/Lewis all had far more experience then Mike does. I'd give him two years, then he'll be the hottest coach on the market.

Being a great player does not equate to being a great head coach or general manager. If it did the New York Knicks and Isaiah Thomas would not be the worst run franchise in the NBA.

When and where did Jason Garrett receive his previous head coaching experience?
