Draft Chat With our Draftniks Matt Waldman and Sigmund Bloom Tonight D (1 Viewer)

Ok, looking at picks--not sure this is so great :)

This is a risk, but he doesn't have to be the No.1 for at least 3-4 years. He's really the flashy No.3 option with potential to become a WR-1A guy. Costly, but they need to open up this offense to make it less predictable and Jones does that. Gutsy.

i know ATL is a top contender but to waste so many picks in return to number six pick not only in this draft (27 in first round, second round, 4 round, 2012 1& 4 round) is huge!!

wow.. i think the Browns rob them

Like this trade for both teams. With the transition on defense, Cleveland needs a lot of front 7 help. They also need help at WR and on the right side of the OL. More picks is the answer, especially with the last real blue chipper (Peterson) gone.
Cleveland wanted Green or Peterson from what I have heard locally. Gives them more ammo to move around in this draft now too.

A 2nd threat for that passing game was sorely needed to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Great pick for them in my opinion.

Atlanta - Cleveland trade is currently rising to the top of big-time trades that will tell the story for two franchises in the next 4-5 years. This is the first major trade this Falcons regime has made if I remember correctly. It's quite a move.

Aldon Smith! First twist in the draft.

Titans love Locker, but I don't think they really thought Gabbert will fall this far.

The run on QB's hasn't happened yet. If the Titans take Fairley, the Skins will be doing a dance.

Sheesh a lot of overreacting here. 1.27 is really a second this year, weak first round class. next year's first will be late. the 2nd and both 4ths are late. Atlanta got one of the guys they felt would put them over the top and might not have given up one first-round level player to do it.

Yep, if they are in the late 20's, that's not bad.

Great trade for the Browns..

who is first now in fantasy drafts, AJ or Julio? or Ingram?
Still have to see Ingram's location, but I think Green due to the need for him to be a factor earlier than Julio. Aldon Smith...I so love the draft - all this talk about QBs going early :)
The talking heads always talk about the QBs like they are slipping. These are the guys people recognize so they always sound like they are shocked they are slipping. Truth is only a few QBs go in the first round every year.

It is and its a huge price to pay for one guy who is extremely tough but he's had his share of injuries.Basically takes the Browns out of the cream of this draft class but does position Heckertt extremely well for next year when local boy Luck should be the top pick in case the Colt McCoy experiment doesn't pan out.

Titans loved Locker. I love the fact that they picked him over Gabbert. If they like Locker, take him. I'm happy with this as a Titans fan.

Crazy pick there in my opinion. Fairley was the pick they needed.
I disagree. They need a QB. Not sure if Locker is the right one or not, no one really knows that. But QB is a much bigger need than DT, imo. Pick up the DT in round 2. I never bought the Fairley pick, because of his character issues.

Irony of all ironies...

Well, I'm an official Jake Locker fan now. Wish they took Gabbert, but Locker is a guy I've been saying in Twitter forever is the most intriguing guy in this draft. I hope he transitions to his potential...

Love Gruden telling Kiper to stick it!

Locker is exactly the kind of QB a team talks themselves into loving. Everything is perfect right until he releases the football and he is 100% dedicated to the game...

I agree. I liked Gabbert more too...but the Titans have been in love with Locker for a long time. Glad they stuck to their guns.

I like Locker. I think he'll do well there with Britt, CJ2K and Cook. I like it.
