Draft Chat With our Draftniks Matt Waldman and Sigmund Bloom Tonight D (2 Viewers)

I liked Jordan a bit better than Watt, but it was close. Line of scrimmage out, baby.
great call here. definitely makes sense to get the lineman first and look for DB help later.
Watt and Williams outside, Cushing and Ryans inside is an interesting start to Wade's 3-4. Still need lots of improvement in the secondary. I bet it there was more discussion than they expected with Amukamara and Quinn and Jordan all options there.

John McClain added another good point. Watt (and Jordan) add subpackage flexibility, as Wade likes to use the 4-2-5 nickel. Watt could have a big impact as a 3-technique on passing downs.

wow the Browns schooled the Falcons with that trade (assuming there is a draft next year)
I'll disagree. They got a low 1st, low 2nd, and low 4th round pick this year. And next year it will probably be a low 1st and low 4th. The Browns do need a lot of players, but they'd better get 3 average to above average starters out of that.

The Ponder pick isn't as bad as many are making out - yes, it was too soon for him, but they're still going to go get McNabb and redshirt Ponder.

Rick Gosselin has reported that he thought the Redskins were targeting Christian Ponder. When they traded down, I wonder if they thought they could nab him at 16. Now with Ponder gone, do the Redskins pray for Andy Dalton or do they go defense? With so many of the top QBs selected, the Skins may have to roll with a QB in round 2 and try to get a defensive steal at 16...
