That's a terrible mistake to make. Young talent - draft to build a franchise. Free agency is how to overpay and patchwork a team together. That'll bite them once other players need contracts down the line, especially if a salary cap comes back.

Sheesh a lot of overreacting here. 1.27 is really a second this year, weak first round class. next year's first will be late. the 2nd and both 4ths are late. Atlanta got one of the guys they felt would put them over the top and might not have given up one first-round level player to do it.

I have to believe that in a normal year, 1 or 2 of these QB's would be taken in the 1st round at best, so the 1.27 is a legitimate late 1st pick.

Agreed. Locker is a disaster waiting to happen. No instincts. No accuracy. No consistency.Epic failure. Fairley was dominant in college. Seems like a really good value this late even if he's a head case.
